Welcome to the first episode of the Tales of Pictavia podcast. I am your host the High Bard of Pictavia MRR Jack.

I want to tell you a little bit about what you can expect and who I am.

I am a poet, writer, artist, and illustrator. I created Pictavia as a place to explore alternative Scotlands, mainly of the horror variety. On the Tales of Pictavia podcast, you will get two episodes a month; these will match two of the four monthly articles I publish about Pictavia on Substack. One will be fiction from Pictavia and the other will be a deep dive into the inspiration, research, or real-world experience that informs that story.

For this first episode to give you a good taste of what it will be like, I’ve combined two episodes into one.
