Last week we talked about building new habits. One of the habits that I am working on building this year is my response to things. I want to not be so quick to react to things. Yes, even me and the professional that I am, can be quick to react and slow to respond. I’m working on switching those things around trust me. I had to take a real hard look at myself throughout the last year and ask myself why I was so quick to react to certain things.
Self-reflection is defined as “meditation or serious thought about one’s character, actions, and motives.” It’s about taking a step back and reflecting on your life, behavior and beliefs. That is a whole other episode in itself, I like to look back on my actions and character and reflect on the good, bad and the ugly. I need to know what was good so that I can do more of it, I need to know what was bad so that I can work on it and I need to know what was ugly so that I can turn from it.
