On August 6, 2020, President Trump issued the Executive Order on addressing the Threat Posed by TIkTok. TikTok is Chinese-owned video app with over 100 million users in the US, according to August 22nd New York Times article. He later issued a second executive order giving the Chinese company 90 days to divest its US operations. Since that time both Microsoft and Oracle have shown interest, with Oracle likely being the company that will be in on the deal.
