We hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and we’d like to wish you a Happy New Year. This week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, my wife Cheryl joins me to share our reflections of our just completed Christmas Cruise on MSC Meraviglia.

Everyone who celebrates should sail a Christmas cruise. Put it on your bucket list—that’s an easier one to check off than some exotic destination. If your situation allows you do both! As many of you are aware I wrote my first cruising book, The Joy of Cruising amzn.to/2EAMddF during the process of researching a family cruise which was on the Anthem of the Seas in 2018. That cruise was chronicled in the final chapter of The Joy of Cruising, "Holidays."

Well we just did it again on MSC Meraviglia and we provide our reflections of the cruise, assess an overall letter grade for the cruise and its private island, Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, and discuss what I believe is necessary for MSC to compete with Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean.
