From the time I was a small girl I remember getting excited about Christmas. I was flat broke.

I spent weeks agonizing on how I was going to be able to provide my kids some type of Christmas.

Every day as you listen to the news you hear hate crimes, of this group or that group of people being offended or feeling left out, of grudges being held, and offense of peoples words, of statues (idols) being removed and new ones erected in there place.

How do we overcome the feeling that our prayers are not being answered because we are losing hope that the darkness in our lives will ever get any better because we don't yet see any change to our situations?

I'm speaking this into my own life and it's darkness today as I'm feeling overwhelmed today and I too, am searching for answers to my prayers.

God has already planned good things for us, but we aren't seeing them materialize in our lives.

Negative thinking leads to negative actions and we end up we digging ourselves into an even deeper mess leading to even more discouragement, more frustration, and never finding our treasures in life because we're buried under bad thinking and bad choices and the end results of this - I'll call our garbage.
