When I first started reading the Bible I would get frustrated because I couldn't understand a lot of what I was reading. Partly due to the fact I use a King James Version of the Bible because I believe it to be one of the more accurate English translations however it can at times be difficult to understand because of the older style language used in it.
Also, I was trying to read the bible out of guilt, to be honest. You know what I mean, you know you need to, you know there are answers there, your pastor keeps encouraging you to, but you fight it because it's not easy? But if we're honest with ourselves most of the time we just don't apply the effort, do we? Scripture Reference: 2 Timothy 3:16-17
