The Psalmist cries out to the Lord with all his heart through this section, yet he is faithful to the word of God. Do we pour out our hearts to God- Do we find comfort in God's word-

The world is full of conflict, battles and wars. Does this conflict take place even among Christians- James points out the reality of Christian conflict, what sparks it and how we should resolve it.

Is there such a thing as truth- What should be man's response to truth- Peter and John declare to the Jewish council the truth of Jesus and the power of His name. The truth before them is undeniable, yet it is not received.

How important is it that the Lord's character is righteous- How important is it that the Scriptures be righteous- Because the Lord is rigteous, so also His word is righteous. This is a comfort to the Psalmists, especially in the troubles of life.

Do you have wisdom- How is wisdom manifested- James describes two forms of wisdom. There is the wisdom of the world and the wisdom from above. Christians need God given wisdom.

How important is the family- Where did the family begin- What should a family believe and practice- How should we view and treat our family- The family is foundational to the church and society. Listen to this message on the importance of having a heart for our family.

How powerful is the tongue- How important is it in the life of a Christian, especially those who teach- James brings attention to the power of the tongue.

How many people does it take for God to do a great work- The faith of Jonathan and his armorbearer testify that God can bring victory by many or by few.

The Psalmist describes the word of God as wonderful. It is his desire and longing to know and live by the word of God. He calls on God for help and weeps over those who reject and disobey God's word.
