//www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCDBqyjd_F0 This past weekend I went with a friend of mine to an off road part near Huntsville Texas. We went in his Jeep and after riding the trails for a few hours we stopped back by the entrance to see if the ATV mud races were going on. They were about to start so […]

Many years ago, I think I was 11 or 12 years old, my Mom told me she would give me five dollars for every home run I hit while playing in Little League.  The season didn’t start off very well but towards the end I hit 7 home runs and one was a grand slam.  […]

Look first off I could really care less if you want to run a 70% greater chance of developing cancer from smoking.  I mean I’ll feel bad for you but when I find out you were a smoker I’ll shrug and say “well it wasn’t like they (you) weren’t warned…”  “Still sad though…”  I guess […]

There is a collapse coming.  Not house sales, democrat ownership of Washington, financial, etc… but one of how you get your entertainment and communications.  I am sure that for many of you that are tech savvy or know someone who is this isn’t going to be news to you.  Others of you may be surprised […]

Recently I saw a post on Twitter by @Zadi how she was trying out something called vYou.  Basically you can ask people questions via text and they record a video response that you can play back.  It’s pretty cool.  Anyone can join and ask questions, or post your own video responses to questions asked of […]

Manouschka Guerrier Perhaps I am slow to this realization party but I am surprised how the Internet is being used to start careers.  It made sense to me how it could be used to promote careers in the media.  I remember back in 1995 when I was setting up Internet access, e-mail, website, etc… for […]

I read a post this morning on Facebook.  A very caring and concerned parent wanted other parents to be wary of allowing their children on Facebook.  The evidence for this concern was this video. (below)  **WARNING Contains graphic images of violence and death.  Also a girl in a bikini. I’ve learned, sadly, that most of […]

Are you apple-phobic?  I must admit I am.  I have never liked Apple.  Our house is considered an Apple free zone.  One exception to this was when my youngest daughter saved for and purchased an iPod nano.  I warned her that she wouldn’t be happy with it in the long run, especially for the price.  […]

“If I need to take a drug test to get a job, then you need a drug test to get welfare!” A little while back, perhaps a year or longer, there was a discussion about requiring people on welfare to take drug tests.  On the face of it this sounds like better than a good […]
