In this lesson, I briefly go over the Hadith of Jibreel in Sahih Muslim that was reported by Umar bin Al-Khattaab. This is a Hadith that I highly advise all listeners to memorize. In fact, I advise all Muslim to memorize and understand this Hadith. This is truly one of the greatest of Hadiths, and it contains so much of the knowledge of this religion.

In this lesson, I go cover the meaning of Al-Ihsaan in the language and in the religion. In Islam, Al-Ihsaan is to worship Allah as if you see him, and if you are unable to do that, to worship Him knowing that He sees you. This is the pinnacle of the worship of the believer. For a person to worship Allah in this manner, he or she has to follow the correct guidance from the Quran and Sunnah in his or her worship and he or she would have to be sincere in worship.

This is an important issue with Muslims nowadays that a lot of our brothers are not taking seriously. People are trying to do whatever they can to fit it with the non-Muslims even if that means dressing and acting in ways that are not permissible for a Muslim to dress or act. This issue of having the pants lower than the ankles is one of those issues. As you will see through the four Hadiths presented in this talk, this is a major sin that requires a person to repent from before his death. This issue is only an issue for men because the women are encouraged to keep their garments long enough so nothing from their feet or ankles is visible.

The strangers are those that come in the last days and try to implement the Quran and the Sunnah with the correct understanding to the best of their capabilities. They come at a time when the vast majority of the Muslims are steeped in ignorance and misguidance. They will be looked at as strange even among the Muslims. Does that sound familiar? Well, it should. That is the reality of our situation during these days. If Allah has blessed us to be from those strangers, and Allah has blessed to be one of the very few that He has bestowed this huge favor on, we definitely need to be more grateful and thankful to Allah. We show our thanks to Allah by learning and implementing the Quran and Sunnah in our lives. We show our thanks to Allah by calling the people to the correct understanding of the Quran and Sunnah. May Allah make us from the thankful!

If we want to be successful in any of our affairs, we must be consistent. For us to be consistent, we have to make a routine doing what we are capable of doing on a daily basis. If we try to do too much to quickly, we will burn out and become fed up with what we are doing. We should always start with one action that we can do all the time and keep adding to that action little by little. Focus first on reading and memorizing the Quran. Once the Quran becomes a part of your life, start reading and memorizing Hadith. After that, keep adding one science at a time to your daily routine until your entire life is knowledge.

No matter what sins you have committed or how bad your lifestyle might be at the current time, do not ever give up hope that Allah will forgive your sins. Allah forgave the man that killed one hundred people when he repented, so why do you think that you will not be forgiven, and you have done a lot less than that man. We should constantly hold ourselves accountable for the sins that we commit, and we should constantly seek the forgiveness of Allah.
