In 3.75 billion years, the Andromeda galaxy and the Milky Way are expected to collide… Comforting thought, eh? Well, Bioware couldn’t wait that long, so early next year they’re sending us on an express flight to explore the Andromeda galaxy ourselves. This week, The Mules are talking about the Mass Effect universe and what we know about the upcoming title, Mass Effect Andromeda.

Mass Effect 2 and 3 are finally backwards compatible, and we’ve been playing the hell out of them. Again.

MHG EP 60: Mulehorn Gaming Unplugged… Earmuffs!

We’re all adults, so let’s act like it! MHG will be proceeding without the censor bleeps. Please keep this in mind if you tend to listen to us with little ones around (which you probably shouldn’t anyways). Yay, bad words!

The Mules kick off this cast discussing what games we will be playing in November and in the future. Decisions, decisions!

Skyrim is back, and with our return to Tamriel some are experiencing their life as a dragonborn for the first time. Not any of us, of course… We are veteran shouters. We’ll draw some comparisons between Skyrim and a more recent RPG, The Witcher 3, and also discuss the drive to play games like this versus the multiplayer-focused games of late.

Destiny has attempted to squeeze out a few more hours of playtime, and a few more bucks, from us guardians in the form of Festival of the Lost. The Mules dish. Also, recent DDOS attacks on home servers of Destiny players raise some serious questions about the efficacy of Bungie’s anti-cheater battle plan. Is Trials of Osiris worth it?

We’ll talk a little bit about Titanfall 2, too.

MHG EP 59: Let’s Talk Nintendo Switch, Red Dead 2, and Gears 4 Spoilers

Halloween quickly approaches! We can all sense the ghosts of gaming’s past creeping up on us in this inadvertently retrospective episode.

First up, Phil Spencer has finally commented on the status of original Xbox games and their backwards compatibility on Xbox One. The Mules discuss which OG Xbox titles we’d play through again.

Rockstar has teased us with images referring to the Red Dead series, and now we have some answers. Red Dead Redemption 2 is confirmed to be in development, and possibly an online variant as well!

Nintendo is up to their usual tricks with another console we really just aren’t sure about… Is it a tablet? Is it a console? Is it a game boy? The Mules have done a little research and are ready to share thoughts on Nintendo’s latest offering, the Nintendo Switch.

Finally, all of the Mules have beaten Gears of War 4. The cliffhanger ending leaves a lot of open ends, and makes complete sense for those who have completed the previous games in the series. We’re talking spoilers, conspiracies, and lore.

MHG EP 58: You Rebel Scum

First up, Ubisoft dodges a bullet from Vivendi, the national corporation that’s been eyeing up the game company for a while now. Vivendi lost shares in Activision Blizzard a couple years ago, and may be trying to break back into the game industry in a big way. How long can Ubisoft avoid a hostile takeover from its French neighbors?

Recent negative reviews for ReCore beg the question: Should Xbox Live Arcade make a comeback? Are independent tiles judged too harshly in a sea of AAA games?

New leaks may have sprung up from a recent meeting within Bungie’s domain. The Mules dish on what seems to be a fairly solid confirmation of Destiny 2 coming to PC. The source of the leak also shared some additional details regarding our favorite space shooter looter including future destinations for Destiny 2.

MHG EP 54: Let’s Talk ReCore, Sea of Thieves, & Destiny

In an admittedly Xbox-heavy episode, the Mules weigh the options and opinions of several titles coming out this year, including the latest expansion to our favorite love/hate relationship, Destiny.

First, Mule gushes on the latest Mass Effect trailer showcasing the space epic in glorious 4k resolution. We then move on to a unique title coming soon, ReCore. Rumored to be akin to Metroid, we discuss what we know and decide if we’ll be purchasing it or not.

Sea of Thieves, as usual lately, occupies our curious and dastardly minds with thoughts of plunder, pillaging, and pirating. Some new details have emerged from Rare, and we’ll delve into some of our ideas on what could make this game truly great.

Lastly, Bungie has done some interesting things to a few of our old stand-by weapons, and crutches, in preparation for the expansion Rise of Iron. Patch 2.4.0 brings with it several changes, including a somewhat controversial adjustment that may affects those pesky stationary snipers.
