Jason Arriola, Vanessa Cahill, and John Lucero are jumping into the fourth generation of Pokémon by watching Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai. It introduces a fair amount of new Pokémon and dumps May and Max in favor of Dawn. Dawn is not only less annoying than May and Max, but she also has Piplup as her main Pokémon, so, despite any flaws she has, we can totally forgive most of them for bringing the adorable little penguin Pokémon to the table. Oh yeah, Ash and Brock are still here.

This week, we’re watching what might be the movie with the most unrealized potential, Forbidden Siren. There’s a good movie (or two, or three) in here somewhere, but what’s here serves as an adequate mess at its best.

If you’re new here, we’re throwing in our bonus segment at the end that’s normally reserved for out $3 a month Patreon subscribers. For this one, we go over the movie and the lore it unfurled at us and try to come up with our own version of the movie that would be better.
