Multiply Church Resource

This week the Trio were back at it again reflecting on the events of the previous week and how it had impacted their time at The Virtual Gathering this past Sunday. The text that was wrestled through spoke about turning the other cheek, but what was really on the table was resentment and the destructive power it can have over our lives in Christ.

Pastors Sanchez and Stephen recap the weekend, including stories about the decentralized prayer night from the previous Friday and a discussion on how Jesus’s words about oaths have both a personal and societal implications for those who live as citizens of the Kingdom.

Pastors Stephen and Sanchez mostly discuss pop culture and what you should be binging through all content platforms! Oh and they also dabble in how the church has weaponized a familiar passage of scripture.

In this episode Pastor Sanchez and Stephen discuss how the quarantine has provided an opportunity for people to engage with Multiply Church who may not have otherwise and look at a different perspective on Jesus’ words about the often misunderstood topic of lust.

In Matthew 5:21-26, Jesus challenges the law by highlighting that it is more beneficial for a person to reconcile their anger with a brother or sister, before bringing their gifts to him. This happens when you change your mindset and realize that reconciliation is the antidote to anger.

Pastor Sanchez and Stephen encourage you to keep staying home! And in addressing a tension we all feel, they chat about how Jesus did not come to abolish the law but did come to abolish legalism. Engaging. Educational. Emboldened.

The COVID-19 virus continues to sweep across America, but hopefully this podcast will re-source and re-direct your attention to the Kingdom God is calling us to live for. Reflections today from the full squad as they talk through this past Sunday's virtual gathering and make plans for the future.

This week Sanchez & Stephen had a chance to get back in the rhythm to resource the Multiply Church Community. We pray you are staying safe and finding ways to engage this new normal. To the extent you have specific needs, please reach out to the Pastors of Multiply Church and we will help in any way we are able. Pray for each other! We will make it through this.

We continue our coverage of COVID-19 otherwise known as the Coronavirus. Since we're a church community we figured we'd also cover down on the weekend gathering and the message delivered by Pastor Sanchez. But seriously y'all: Wash your hands!

This past Sunday was a bit unorthodox, but not for any reason that we could have planned. Sickness has been pretty rampant in our community and it got us down, but not out. Tucked in this week's podcast is a weather report, update on Coronavirus and a rundown on spiritual warfare within our community. Provocative. Informing. Rich.
