Multiversity Manga Club

It's the first Multiversity Manga Club episode of the month, which means we're looking back at the month of August in Shonen Jump! Due to our Very Special Episode last month, we're primarily discussing two series that started in June, "Aliens Area" and "Ruri Dragon." One is very good, the other... not so much. We also talk about the final chapter of the (apparent) miniseries "Shokugeki no Sanji." It’s the middle of the month, so it's time for “One Piece Club,” our ongoing catch-up of “One Piece!" That's right, the big 100 and all you get is our One Piece recapping, but that's what you're here for, isn't it? In this month's episode we cover chapters 901-924, covering the Reverie mini-arc and the first act of Wano. Wow, a mini arc and a whole act in one episode -- surely Wano isn't that long. It’s the middle of the month, so it's time for “One Piece Club,” our ongoing catch-up of “One Piece!" In this month's episode we cover chapters 866-900, wrapping up the Whole Cake Island/Big Mom arc (well, basically -- there's technically two more chapters, but whatever). Much like last month we each find that we appreciate Whole Cake a lot more on reread than on release, and Emily decides that Katakuri isn't the worst like she formerly thought he was (that honor belongs to Perospero, as we all agree).
