Hi lovely! Today we are talking about: Journalling
1. We have so much going on in our heads! This is using a lot of our energy.
a. Recognising those thoughts and beliefs
b. Mental and emotional spaces can even be baggage
2. How journalling helps us to release this energy so we can focus our attention on what we want more of in our lives.
3. Where to start with journalling
If you want to dive into this more you can head over to the Lead and Inspire Community Digital Hub and get access to ‘How journaling can support you to achieve your dreams’. This module unpacks how to journal and takes you through a simple process to identify where to start first when creating the life you want to live. Journaling can feel weird at first but it is such a simple and cost effective strategy that you can easily integrate into every =day life and the extra bonus is – it makes a huge difference!

What I talk about in this episode:
The comparison trap aka the grass is greener on the other side. I am super excited about this episode because it is leading me closer to sharing more about our Feminine Energy cycle. So today I am starting with.
Become curious about your comparison to others.
Why does it trigger you?
What story are you telling yourself?
How are you feeling and is it actually something else that is making you feel this way?
When it happens
You may find your comparing happens more on social media or after you have spoken to someone in person.
You will find there will be a particular week where your scrolling is non-stop and you feel really bad about yourself afterwards.
Remind yourself to stay in your own lane and even check your own lane- like they say water your own grass. I like to look at my own social media.
When comparing can be useful.
Identify what it is that person wants or has and put it down on your dream board.
Send that person a thoughtful and genuine compliment- if you are really not up for sending love then don’t do this bit.
Set yourself and intention that you want to be doing something like this and set yourself a time frame.

What I talk about in this episode:
I am going to talk about our sabotages and how we hold ourselves back. It is quite easy to blame others for what you have to do or what you don’t have, but really, we are attracting what we have to do and have. So how can we make this work for us?
Identifying when we are sabotaging yourself.
You have decided to make some small changes and it hits Wednesday and you are exhausted.
What do you do?
Your brain will give you the easiest option of doing what you normally do because that is all it has reference to, that is what is in the filing cabinet.
Treat your sabotage as a ‘door knocker’.
Acknowledge they are there.
Be kind and say no thank you.
Change your pattern of behaviour.
By changing your behaviour your brain has a new way of thinking and something else to choose from its filing cabinet.
So, when you hit Wednesday you will then have two options to choose from.
You may be hit with this choice for a period of time but eventually your body will know which one you prefer and it will become automatic.
What happens if you give your brain two options that are both super supportive.
I do find journaling really helpful for this exercise so don’t forget to check out my website www.jessicaterlick.com.au for the resources to support you. I continually work on adding things to my website that will be of use to the Lead and Inspire community. What I talk about in this episode:
I am going to share with you a quick strategy I use to help me when I feel overwhelmed or like I have too much to do. This is my QuickABC strategy.
How to do QABC
What each section means
Then taking it further by Doing, Delete, Delegate and Delay

Passive, Impatient and Creator!
What I talk about in this episode:
As busy women we often feel like there is not enough time or we don’t have enough energy in the day. Or we say that we will start something next week or will do something when X, Y are completed. But what it really comes down to is that we have a lot of ideas and a lot of things to manage and we really need to ground those ideas.
Stop waiting and start doing now. This is the passive bit.
Not referring to going out and spending a lot of money, rather start with what you have.
When you hear yourself once I do this then I will do that, flip your mindset and choose to do the ‘that’ bit first.
Start being the creator of your life.
Identify your intentions.
Link to the feelings.
What are the actions you need to take?
Then release the expectation of when it needs to happen and trust that you are experiencing it now.
How to support yourself with the impatience.
Do a regular gratitude practice.
When you find yourself skipping ahead- stop, breathe and be in the present moment.
Stop comparing yourself to others.
To really bring this altogether I really want to say that linking to your feelings is probably the most powerful bit. Connecting in with how you want to feel, the identifying all the activities that make you feel this way and then actually doing them- THIS will fast-track you to the life you want to live. Share with me in the Lead and Inspire Community either by tagging me on Instagram in a post or story or sharing in one of our Facebook Groups. And if you are not part of the community, come on over to www.jessicaterlick.com.au to find out all our links.
Remember you are actually the creator of your life and your day is yours.

What I talk about in this episode:
I am going to talk about clearing out the old to welcome in the new. This episode links a little closer to Episode 2 and in most recent, Episode 7.
Ladies, we need to make space for the new. For the life we want. And we need to feel like we have it now.
Nothing changes if nothing changes.
Assess where you are.
Identify where you want to go.
Start with one thing that you can consistently do every day and do it.
Start clearing out what no longer serves you.
Identify what you really want so you know what to keep and what to reduce or delete.
You do not need to throw the ‘whole baby out with the bath water.’ i.e partner/children/job
How do you want to feel?
How do you want to relationship to be?
Then start feeling and acting in that way.
Remember it is small incremental changes over a long period of time. So, take the time to sit down and get clear on what you really want and then identify what you can do to make space for it. You can find a whole of lot of resources to help you get started on my website www.jessicaterlick.com.au. Share with me in the Lead and Inspire Community either by tagging me on Instagram in a post or story or sharing in one of our Facebook Groups. And if you are not part of the community, come on over to www.jessicaterlick.com.au to find out all our links.

What I talk about in this episode:
What do I mean when I say ‘clearing your spaces’.
What each space is and things to think about:
Physical
Mental
Emotional
Social
What to do next? Take time to ‘brain dump’ all the things you think about when you think about these spaces. Then select one task or one area to concentrate first.
I would love to know what you are selecting to do first so please share with me in the Lead and Inspire Community either by tagging me on Instagram in a post or story or sharing in one of our Facebook Groups. What is self-care for busy mums?
What I talk about in this episode:
I am going to talk about what does self-care actually mean and how as busy mums we can fit it in..
Self-care has become a *buzz* word.
How to create space for self-care.
Create a self-care menu.
Schedule some time into your week and commit to it.
Have the conversation with those around you and ask them what they would like to do…and even create a self-care menu for your family as a whole or as individuals.
Why have time for self-care?
Brings us into the present moment.
Fills our cup.
We receive internal validation rather than searching for external validation.
I have a range of resources on my website such as self-cares menus and weekly planners. Come and check them out if you do not have time to create your own. Share with me in the Lead and Inspire Community either by tagging me on Instagram in a post or story or sharing in one of our Facebook Groups. And if you are not part of the community, come on over to www.jessicaterlick.com.au to find out all our links.
Remember self-care is more than just beauty appointments and meditation. Self-care is what feels good for you. Setting boundaries, saying no and choosing who you spend time are more powerful self-care practices. You are worth your own time!

What I talk about in this episode:
I am going to ask you to start giving yourself permission to look after yourself and do things that you enjoy- bring that fun back!
How being a mum can be hard work and busy.
Thinking about how you want to lead by example for your children.
Who do you want to be? What do you want to do? What do you want to have?
Remembering what you like to do. What do you enjoy? What is fun to you?
Start with doing some things by yourself but also invite your family members to do it with you as well. Just like you do for them.
Why giving permission to place a priority on yourself is important.
I would love to start a swing challenge on my Instagram stories because for me, going on a swing is so much fun! So next time you are at a playground and there is a swing, jump on it and take a photo!
