Murder in the Mourning

The "Butcher of Rostov" is one of the names given to Andrei Chikatilo, a notorious serial killer who operated in the Rostov Oblast region of the Soviet Union (now in Russia) between 1978 and 1990.

Chikatilo earned his nickname due to the gruesome and horrifying nature of his crimes, which involved the brutal murders and mutilation of numerous victims, primarily young boys and girls. He would then engage in acts of necrophilia and mutilate the bodies of his victims.

His other nicknames including "The Rostov Ripper" or "The Red Ripper" reflect the savagery of Chikatilo's crimes, making him one of the most infamous serial killers in history.

Let's Mourn.

Some people are simply born to creep the world out. Imagine the clown from It, except they're real.

"The Giggler" murdered four people over multiple years, and almost got away with it if not for his hero sister!

1920s in Los Angeles, twin sisters Marion and Marjorie Parker head off to school together. Eight hours later, only one of the 12-year-old sisters came home.

That day, a man posing as a family friend entered the school alone, and left with Marion. As their parents reel from shock, a series of telegrams and phone calls continue to muddy the already tearful waters.

It's the early 70's in The Netherlands and women are going missing. Police were quick to arrest the culprit and bring him to "justice."

Years later the same justice system was very quick to release this man back into society. He would continue his murderous reign of terror and come to be known as The Beast of Harkstede.

And I thought Germany had some bad apples... Today we head to India to tell the story of the youngest murderer to ever live. Labeled as a sadist by psychologists, Amarjeet Sada may be the most evil person to walk free in modern times. Oh yeah, he's a free man somehow... Sorry, I don't want to give anything else away today!!

SHOUTOUT SWEDEN!!

From Midsommar to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Sweden displays immense beauty against a backdrop of unknown horrors. When Anders Lindback became an ordained priest in the late 1800s in Sweden, I'm not sure if even HE knew the kind of monster that he would become.

Often overlooked by more notorious Swedish sociopaths such as Thomas Quick, aka Sture Bergwall, we mustn't forget about the priest who took advantage of his underprivileged parishioners.
