This is said often in the true crime world but this is truly a tragic story with not much better of an ending. For years Josef Fritzl lived with a deep dark secret, it would not come to light for 24 long years. He took the lives of many and those he did not end he made wish he had.

Charles Ray Hatcher literally took advantage of every single loophole in the system.  Not only the justice system but the mental health arena as well. Hatcher was arrested time and time again for horrible offenses against children and would be let go because he knew how to work the system, or an officer wouldn't do his due diligence. Every serial killer needs a bit of luck and this man had a lucky horseshoe up his butt. Innocent children across the midwest would be victimized due to the lackadaisical attitude many had towards men who commit crimes against children.

Charles Ray Hatcher brought hellfire and brimstone everywhere he went. He was a sexually motivated murderer with nothing but hate in his heart for mankind. During this episode we will cover in depth the "investigation"into poor Marvin Reynolds that ruined his life, and left him scarred from many many different traumas, one worse than the last. We will also cover the murder of a man who was so close to starting a new life with his loving wife, Jerry Lee Tharrington, he would not even have a chance to read her last letter. Charles Ray Hatcher's crimes would leave a ripple effect across many families and across many decades.

Charles Hatcher was an American serial killer who confessed to murdering 16 people between 1969 and 1982. Over a span of two decades he not only murdered many children but he made their last moments on this Earth absolute hell. To take a life is one thing but to stretch those last seconds, those last minutes , that last hour into an absolute living hell is another thing. A pedophile and a child murderer is the worst of the worst. We use words like evil, sadistic, psychopath, to describe men like Charles Hatcher but this case goes beyond that. Words cannot accurately depict what this type of "Man" is. He is human in his DNA but is totally separate from the human race. When we love, he hates, what we cherish he destroys and the lines that would we never in our darkest days every dare to cross, do not even exist for Charles Ray Hatcher. With all of that said, enjoy!

Bio:

Karen DeVanie and Anne Varner are 2 sisters that bake yummy recipes in their kitchen while chatting about true crime and more often than not end up apologizing to their mom.

Episode description:

In this zany episode Karen DeVanie cooks up some delicious Bananas Foster and serves it over decadent vanilla ice cream.  Yummy! While Karen cooks Anne Varner stirs up trouble with the awful story of the murders of Susan (Missy) MacIvor and her husband Michael. While the sisters enjoy the kitchen yummies, Karen DeVanie bewilders us with the tale of a nefarious killer in Nebraska.  Oh and Karen renames the state because...why not?!

Here we are folks the conclusion of Charles Ng and Leonard Lake!
In this episode we get into the "true" body count of these two and we also get into their eventual capture. To summarize I can say that I do believe that with or without each other they would have become murderers. They may not have individually had the numbers that they had together but they both had hatred and murder in their hearts.
Leonard Lake would have captured women and made them into his sex slaves with or without Charles Ng.
Charles Ng would have killed out of necessity and convenience to himself, I do think he would have been caught a lot sooner without Leonard holding him back. The main difference between these two is that Ng is a sociopath and that Lake was a psychopath.
