At 3:18pm on Friday, April 15, 1994, a call came in to lifeguard communications. Two surfers found a body floating a few hundred yards off the coastline in direct view of Point Loma Nazarane. She would be identified hours later as 25 year old Michelle Von Emster. The medical examiner ruled it death by a Great White Shark, but shark experts disagreed. Her injuries were inconsistent with the massive ocean predator. There were inconsistencies in the autopsy report. There was a stalker. And that guy who wrote the weird poem about chewing her lips off? What exactly happened to Michelle? Did she go for a night swim? Was this a hit and run, knocking her off the cliff and into the waters below? Join us as we examine this mysterious case and decide for yourself if someone got away with murder.

This week we are on Highway 18 in North Carolina on a dark, stormy night in 2000. We cover the disappearance of 9 year old Asha Degree. She was spotted at 3:30am and again at 4:15am walking along the highway. Where was she headed? Who was the little girl in the picture discovered with a few of Asha's things? Why would a 9 year old who was afraid of the dark set out alone on a cold, rainy night? Dee Dee and I discuss this heartbreaking mystery.

Suzie and Stacy graduated from high school on July 6, 1992. They would vanish without a trace on July 7, 1992. Purses lined up in Suzie's room, Sherill's book open on her nightstand, no sign of a struggle or anything violent in the house - what happened that night?

Join us as we discuss the quadruple homicide of Sue Sharp, her children John and Tina Sharp, and John's friend, Dana Wingate. Late on the evening of April 11, 1981 (or possibly the early morning of April 12th), someone brutally murdered Sue Sharp, her son John, and Dana Wingate. The scene was so chaotic and bloody that no one realized Tina Sharp was missing for hours. Her remains would not be found until 3 years later...and more than 50 miles away in Butte County. What happened that night?

Michael Negrete was a freshman at UCLA in 1999. With the semester winding down and finals approaching, he spent Thursday evening, December 9th at a party in his dorm. Afterward, Michael played a PC game for a few hours with one of his friends who was sitting in another room via an internet connection. After the game finished around approximately 4am, Michael logged off of his computer and went to congratulate him. The two high-fived each other…

Then, Michael walked down the hallway to his room…and vanished without a trace forever.
