Episode 19: Joy Gardner. On 28 July 1993 at 07:40 in Crouch End, London, five police officers and an immigration official arrived to deport Joy Gardner and her son to Jamaica. At 08:04 - 24 minutes after officers had arrived at Joy's flat - an ambulance was called as Joy was unresponsive. Four days later Joy was pronounced dead. Episode 18: Mikaeel Kular. Content Warning: This case involves the death of a child. As always, we want our listeners to look after themselves, so if you feel that this episode may be distressing for you we would advise you to possibly skip this episode or listen to another one instead.

This is the case of Mikaeel Kular, a three year old boy who lived in Edinburgh in 2014. On Wednesday 15th January 2014, Mikaeel was seen around 9pm going to bed in his home in Ferry Gait Crescent, in the Drylaw area of the city. The next morning, around 7.15am, Mikaeel’s mother discovered that he was missing from his bed, and called the police to report him missing. The outcome of this case shocked everyone from police to local residents and the pain is still felt to this day.

Episode 15: Carol Lannen & Elizabeth McCabe i.e. The Templeton Woods Murders. Two women discovered naked, bound and strangled in Templeton Woods in Dundee, Scotland 11 months apart. Their bodies were found in areas a mere 150 yards apart. Despite the similarities, police do not believe the murders to be connected. Episode 14: Edward William Pritchard. "Doctor" Edward William Pritchard practiced medicine in the late 1800's but his past was vague and sketchy. Eventually convicted of two murders and suspected of a third, he was the last person to be publicly hanged in Scotland.
