Chandni raat mein,
Jab chaand tumhein dekhega,
Tum bhi kya chaand ho,
Taaron se yahi poochega…
Laakh parde mein raho tum,
Phir bhi yaqeen hai mujhko,
Meri khamosh mohabbat ka,
Ehsaas tumhein chhoo lega…
Sabko yun hans-hans ke na dekho,
Dil mera jal jaayega,
Dekhne wala toh aakhir,
Kuchh aur hi samjhega…
Tumse door hokar bhi,
Tum mere paas he ho,
Meri har tanha raat mein,
Chand bankar utaroge…
Yaad aate hai woh guzre zamaane phir se,
Jab kabhi in haathon ki Lakeeron ko dehta hun,
inh mein tera he naam dhoondhta hun
Aur jab koi poochta hai mujhse,
“Kaun tha jo itna apna tha?”
Main muskura ke chup rehta hun,
Dil aankhon se sab keh deta hain

Raqqeb Se by Faiz Ahmed Faiz

Meaning of Ek Boond in English
"Ek Boond" is a Hindi poem written by Ayodhya Singh Upadhyay 'Hariaudh'. The poem explores the emotions and thoughts of a person who is leaving their home and embarking on a new journey. The poem begins with the metaphor of a raindrop that has separated from the clouds and is moving forward independently.
The narrator wonders why they have left their home and questions their fate. They worry about whether they will be able to survive in the new environment or if they will be lost forever. The poem then shifts to describe a beautiful sea breeze that carries a pearl-like raindrop to a seashell.
