The concept of magic, curses and the spirit realm have haunted and enthralled people for thousands of years. With deep roots in religion and folklore, these type of dark and mysterious arts have often manifested in the form of a person, the witch. In this episode we explore the history of witches, how ideologies of witchcraft were shaped and moulded by political and cultural constructs, and objects and depictions that have formed our contemporary idea of the witch.
