In 1 Samuel 17, David was about to face Israel's enemy Goliath, who was the Philistines' champion of war. David was irate because Goliath was taunting the army of Israel and they did nothing about it! But verse 45 of that chapter says...Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied." David KNEW who, and how powerful his God was! He took down the giant with a stone and his faith in Jehovah Sabaoth! There is no enemy, no matter how big or small, that can defeat THE LORD OF HOSTS!! Satan, sin, cancer, addictions, depression, etc...all have plagued us or someone close to us at one time or another. But God is so much more powerful than any of these things that we may face. We must be bold in our faith and understand that NO weapon that is formed against us will be able to prosper; because we are MORE than conquerors through Him that loves us!! So tonight we celebrate The Lord of Hosts...Jehovah Sabaoth! Enjoy!!

The Bible teaches that our God is a holy God. The idea behind the concept of holiness is "separation." It comes from a word meaning "to separate or cut off." God is separate, or cut off, from everything that is sinful and evil...He cannot tolerate sin! Because only God is holy, any people or objects that are said to be holy are described in this manner because God has made them holy, or set them apart. Therefore the term holy is applied to persons or objects that have some type of relationship with the Lord - they are set apart for His service. Because He is holy He can only do that which is true and good. He is absolutely pure and sinless. God, therefore, hates sin and loves the good. It is impossible for Him to sin. The holiness of God causes believers to be sensitive to their own sinful ways.  Believers should act in a holy manner because our God is holy. Only God is holy. He is perfect in His nature. His character is one of flawless moral perfection. God's Holiness has a positive and negative side. On the positive side, He always does what is right. On the negative side, He is separate from all sin. Believers are commanded to be holy as God is holy. Enjoy and Be Blessed!

There is an old saying, "He may not come when you want  Him, but when He comes He's right on time! That is who our God is and that is what our God does! Whatever you need and whenever you need Him, He is ALWAYS there! He promised in His Word that He would never leave us nor would He forsake us. What a mighty and awesome God we serve! With all that is going on in the world today, we can become distracted, distressed...and sometimes we may start to feel like we have no purpose. Even if you have your own business or even business ideas; sometimes things just don't seem to click! But we DO have a purpose and our purpose is found in the Will of God! What you are now is nothing compared to what He has designed you to be, and where you are now is nothing in comparison to where He wants you to be! God has a plan for all of our lives, and He desires to make us great in Him.  The problem is, we don't go after Him wholeheartedly to find out what that purpose is. But in Matthew 6:33 Jesus said, "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." (NLT Version). Greatness awaits you...and it starts with finding God and then finding your purpose! Don't miss out...LET'S GOOOOOO!!!  

The Lord God is calling His Body back to Himself. But before we can  return to Him in full power, we must make absolutely sure that we are right with Him. Last week we placed leadership under the microscope, and tonight we will be placing membership under the microscope.  This is not me speaking to you, but this is the Word of the Lord! The scriptures tell us that we cannot serve two maters...we have to love the one and hate the other! We should NEVER want to be slaves or hostages to satan who is the enemy of our souls. So...let us ALL get right with God, and do it NOW!! Be blessed of the Lord!

Tonight we begin a two part series entitled "Repairing the Body". In this episode, Leadership will be under the microscope. The scriptures say, "Woe to the shepherd that scatters the sheep!" As spiritual leaders, we are accountable to God for how we handle his people. We must preach, teach, and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the fullest extent. We must not lead God's people astray with false teachings and doctrines (of devils). Be careful...because you will answer to God for any and everything that we do against His will...especially when dealing with His flock! Let's GOOOOOO!!!!!
