Kevin is finally back and just in time for a REALLY busy weekend!

We were able to get a hold of her agent and get her in the studio, the one and only: Mrs. Pickrell! Our Grade 4-6 General Music and Band teacher.

The M-R Bands student teacher, Mr. Ty Otto, is on the podcast today to talk about his teaching expereinces through college and how things are going at M-R so far this semester!

What do you get when you have a new choral student teacher, the musical, and both High School and Junior High Solo and Ensemble within 3 weeks? To most it's referred to as the month of March, but at M-R its just an average Spring semester! The gang catches up to go over all the craziness that has been the last few weeks.

The triple threat: dance, sing, act. Our kids knock it out of the park every year and so today we bring in the expert at M-R, Mel Agar. She isn't only part of the English Department, she directs our Spring Musical each year with energy and passion that comes through the students on stage. This year's musical: "Once Upon a Mattress"!

Rowan and Drew are back to wrap up our IMEC conversation from last week and Drew was just DYING to tell us something very important he missed from the first go around.

It took an extra week but we got them in the studio! Rowan and Drew were our 2 All-State Honors Chorus members back in January and we are so happy to hear about their experiences!

We are SO excited for this one! Tyler Davis is a good friend of Lisa and Art (and Kevin by the end of the episode). All four of us share the Alma Mater of the great WIU and we are so happy to have him on to talk about his educational journey.

Here is the Monmouth-Roseville Madrigal Singers Performance at IMEC 2024. We are so proud of all of the students, directors and ILMEA staff who made this event possible!

We did it, we FINALLY made it a whole calendar year to IMEC! We are so happy to share our enjoyment of IMEC with new guests, our friends from Mercer County, Directors Rusty Ruggles, Sam Whan, and Crispin Hallen...I mean. Fornoff!
