Summer is over and the gang is already 1 week into the 24-25 school year! So much going on already and it's still ramping up. Here's to an incredible year on the horizon!

Teachers need a vacation too!? The gang talks about what they all have going on this summer.

The time is finally here to talk about the wedding of the century! The Newlyweds join us in talking about the unforgettable event and honeymoon tha followed.

Kevin is sadly gone again due to Track but luckily we had a guest on the books to speak with about themselves and their program! Madeline Wood is the band director from United High School, just up the road from M-R and is also the the District 2 ILMEA President. Also she is the super-fan extraordinaire when it comes to Music in the Making.

Hours after JH Org, the gang heads to Chicago for a unique trip combining the HS Band 6 Flags Music in the Parks performance, and immediately turning into the Music Department Senior Trip. It's late, we've been up since 2 AM, and Art's White Castle order was denied by 4 Uber Eats Drivers before arriving. What a trip so far!

Kevin is finally back and just in time for a REALLY busy weekend!

We were able to get a hold of her agent and get her in the studio, the one and only: Mrs. Pickrell! Our Grade 4-6 General Music and Band teacher.

The M-R Bands student teacher, Mr. Ty Otto, is on the podcast today to talk about his teaching expereinces through college and how things are going at M-R so far this semester!

What do you get when you have a new choral student teacher, the musical, and both High School and Junior High Solo and Ensemble within 3 weeks? To most it's referred to as the month of March, but at M-R its just an average Spring semester! The gang catches up to go over all the craziness that has been the last few weeks.

The triple threat: dance, sing, act. Our kids knock it out of the park every year and so today we bring in the expert at M-R, Mel Agar. She isn't only part of the English Department, she directs our Spring Musical each year with energy and passion that comes through the students on stage. This year's musical: "Once Upon a Mattress"!
