Scot Shapiro kicks off this weekend with his newest mix 'Closer' for EarTheater. A smooth 6 minute ambient intro that blends nicely into some old school progressive breaks and continues onto some pounding beats. Scot really knows the craft of mixing and it shows throughout his dynamic process of carefully selecting music from a variety of genres. It's undeniable the euphony of this mix will make you want to get up and dance. Enjoy! Movin' Melodies is a most appropriate name for Chris Tennant's mix, but his timing is the name of the game.  Chris shows real mastery of his gear here and the track list is a set of highly skilled labor.  Perfect examples that define the Melodic House genre.  No surprise at all that Bjork shows up around the hour mark to put her unique stamp on things.  Listen carefully and you find each track plays a great hand into the next deep, immersive layer.  It all combines to make a  rich progressive vibe.  Enjoy! Tom Rudolf is our special guest this week.  He brings artful tracks and a smooth mix out of Santa Barbara, California.  There will not be any time for talking as you follow Tom across bridges which are effortless and sublime, in both genre and atmosphere.  The mix builds straight up into a plateau full of pads and rhythms which provide both energy and tranquility.  A less often nod to nostalgia rounds out the experience and sets Tom right, in his own progressive time and space.  Enjoy! Episode 082 could easily have been titled "Better Late Than Never", but EarTheater knows that true is better than done.  In the first half of Inner Rebel Mark lays out a melodic progressive vibe that offers a softer side of upfront dance.  The second half showcases Mark's dedication to new and unreleased tracks which bring true late night energy to a dance floor.  Enjoy! Melancholy is one of the strangest feelings to describe.  It shifts around, peaks, and can even go unnoticed for long periods of time.  Music has the uncanny ability to help define and solidify our personal experiences; even the ambiguous ones.  The mix drives straight up the key notations without a pause.  I hope you find your own feelings in each and every track.  No holds barred and genres be damned, music is the answer.  Bitrates:M4A - 512k - Best Compressed MP3 - 320kFLAC - High Quality Lossless (may not play in all browsers / devices) Track Listing:01 - Battleships (feat. This week John Kiser delivers EarTheater Podcast 91 and points us to one collectable track after another.  John shows complete comfort in all things mixed and by his own admission is dedicated to phrasing each and every bridge.  His music selection glides across a variety of rhythms but always at great depth.  The progressive sound he achieves in this mix brings to light the multi-layered enthusiasm he has for the music itself.  Enjoy! Mark Hunt presses on this week with another new release podcast.  Plenty of creative bits going on here as the EarTheater crew starts blending even more to create original vibes.  The music moves effortlessly across smooth progressive and crunchy more obvious dance. Pay close attention as the line between DJing and Production are blurred.  Some sweet vocals are well placed throughout and even highlight past masters.  Enjoy! ViLLO puts up a three hour set this week!  Easily the longest intro ever as he devotes the first section to funky rhythms across both synth pads and basslines.  The mix then drives stright up the middle of the dance floor with a booming devotion to 4/4 and ViLLO's signature sounds from the underground.  Its fun and carefree as the set moves into the last hour with things like a YekeYeke remix and vocals samples from Prince.  Great Saturday afternoon, "we've got a live one" here.  Enjoy! By the 10 minute mark, you know Scott Riley is preparing for a serious podcast session.  The progressive vibe is pared-down and focused.  But the mix gets seriously moody after about 40 minutes and never looks back.  There is great variety in everything from the stable of producers, to the moving basslines.  Explorations is a captivating and serene production while still kicking both feet in gear for a big-room closing sound.  Enjoy!
