This week we save and upgrade this music life, all in one mix.  No one can predict when music festivals will become the norm again,  we all know they were due for an overhaul.  Those big top promoters need this sound.  Dante throws it all at the big room for the first half.  These are songs deserving to be at the top of the decibel range.  Pulsing, throbbing and simplified for grooving.  This progressive dance has hints of disco even trance but gives way to moving melodic house and tech house for another solid hour.   The emotional release is complete with smooth, heavy music that carries those late-nights home as memories.

Our guest DJs enjoy no holds barred when crafting their mix.  Jon uses every inch of that rule to develop something theatrical.  More of  a DJ show than a set.  He uses all of the two hours to present music steeped in variety and style.  Newcomer to our podcast, but nothing green about the buttery smooth mixes during the more deep and melodic first half.  At the mid, Jon kicks it way downfield and makes easy work of the blends throughout a myriad of funky breaks and fun basslines.  Share and embed.

The tunes are new but the vibe is absolutely classic!  As with all our EarTheater logo releases, the tracks are fresh with most being released this season. [Yes music releases have seasons; they are blooms after all.]  Chris has stitched together a menagerie of hints and suggestions and emotions ripped right from the pages of the history of house.  The old school samples or balearic house riffs or 7am sound will get you going.  On top of it all you will be reminded just how important this vibe was to dance music.  All at once it became the sound of tomorrow for a generation.

Electronic music does good work evolving the listener.  A great DJ is always available to these new waveforms.  At rare points in this evolution, even the stage gets a rework.  As sound and style are presented, the listener's ear has the wonderful job of stitching together music on a stage in the mind.  The set is a hallmark of syncopation, alternating between the stereo channels.  It brings about an atmosphere rich with physical behavior to engage the listener on a unique level. Right from the top it makes tight work of the new organic genre.  Good show Scott Riley.

Classic and rare vinyl style delivers chill vibes and spins up a night cap full of nostalgia.   Broken beats and textured bass lines are only the beginning for this journey.  Long and lush harmonies act as overtures throughout the set full of unusual beats and breaks.  A series of distant and dreamstate vocals round out the message and constantly coax the listener to pay attention and re-lax.  Escape Artists on the decks with a few surprises and collectibles.  Share and embed.

Change ups, lush breaks, vocals, and atmospheres find their way into the crucible of dance this week. The melodic and organic beats are moved up and down the scale in a mix that would be home in pop-up street parties San Fran or the islands of Greece. Coming off the breaks around 40', GMJ's remix of Kandar - My Life Rules lays out a dreamy trance that you won't want to miss.  Scott's taste in music is truly global here; we are happy to present Episode 154.  Share and embed.

Dante applies his craft throughout this mix in order to tell the story of our zeitgeist. He weaves a delicate tapestry of emotions that run the gambit from darkness and detachment to hope and optimism. It's a track list that teases the listener and sets a tone of curiosity by combining many disparate moods, soundscapes and styles in an effort to emote what we all share at this moment in time. This is a beautiful mix that says even in our deepest levels of despair, a passionate hope can emerge that drives us to show strength in the darkest of times.  -  John Atchley

This mixes shows Summer the door with a set of straight-beat bangers.  At times, the mixes come out of nowhere providing space and time lofts which only adds highlights to the powerful beats.  Check out the small holding room for your heart about 50 minutes and then watch the colors run.  At 1'26" the energy is much more polished, and relentless as the techno stabs that got you here.  Villo is never one to shy from the norm, but this mix shows off just how wide of frequency response Villo loves to play.  Share and embed.

With an artist list that would make any Miami boat party shine, we present Episode 152.  This time John shows just how comfortable and willing he is to move through a variety of beat structures. More subtle tracks use a breakbeat to add depth to lofty pads and more ambient tracks serve has huge bridges from one vibe to another.  The track selection has a flare for style with vocals that only add to the dimension.   Share and embed.
