Farmer Dave joins the show after his big loss in the campaign for governor to incumbent Phil Scott. Instead, Farmer Dave proposes a new job for himself in the state government, Commissioner of Common Sense.

Ken invites Rick Norcross on the show to preview his new song, "My Kissing Days are Over." Kia comes in to remind the dumpsters to set their clocks back an hour.

Ken wants to celebrate Lousie Glück, a poet who just won the Nobel Prize in Literature. Louse taught at Goddard College in East Montpelier and wrote many poems while there. Farmer Dave stops by and says he supports graveling the interstate.

Brent shares a great story of the Fab Five, a 24 year-old female Grizzly Bear at Yellowstone National Park with four cubs that have touched the world. Kia calls in to chat with the gang and Ken addresses the recent story of the president contracting COVID and entering the hospital.

Dex made some coffee at 1 am and Kia pours Ken a nice cup of the black sludge for him to start his morning. The gang talks about upcoming events at Thunder Road, namely the Relay for Life and next weekend's Milk Bowl. And Ken reads a poem sent in by a listener.

Ken recaps the championship race at Thunder Road that took place this past week. Steve Cormier and Farmer Dave stop by and Tom Beardsley calls in from West Springfield, Massachusetts. Apparently no one told him there is no Big E this year and he's alone down there.

Kia had noticed a lot of webs on the trees and had asked people on the trading post if they're seeing tent caterpillars around their house. A listener named Skip calls in to clarify they're not tent caterpillars, they're in fact web worms. The gang contemplates if there are too many and how to get rid of them.

Ken thought he would theme the show after the long weekend and bring in "7 Things to Do This Labor Day Weekend." But he forgot page two of his notes, which actually has the things to do! So we solicit your ideas on what you're doing on your long weekend off.
