Hello and welcome back to the Musical Taste Society!

We're back with episode 28 and asking the big questions like: when will The Beatles finally get the coverage they deserve?

In Part 1, your hosts John Gavin and Joseph Goss will be discussing some stories in the music news this week as well as doing the usual trawl through their Discover Weekly playlists on Spotify. Will John have a good playlist this week? Chances are no, but it'll be a good laugh anyway so join us anyway...

Episode 27 Part 4: The Final Frontier! It's the Hall Of Fame, and this time Joseph puts the case forward for Dr Carl Peter Goldmark, the man who invented the long-playing record (the LP to us laymen) as well as a wee sidetrack on some dodgy nights out the guys have had.

John kicks things off with pop guru and 1/4 of everyone's favourite Swede's, ABBA legend Benny Andersson. It's all a bit of a love in between the guys discussing ABBA, until the mention of the movie Mamma Mia sees mixed emotions between them. 

Joseph celebrates front man of the seminal punk band Television, Tom Verlaine. As you might expect this is a band Joseph loves and has seen many times, where as John seems very confused at their very mention. 

Time for part 4 and this weeks events section, taking a look at Music's illustrious past.

John returns to 2006 when pop megadiva Mariah Carey sued the similarly-named pornstar Mary Carey in an attempt to stop fans getting confused between the two.

While Joseph goes all the way back to 1978 for the success of Freak Out! by Chic and we obviously talk about the incident that inspired it.
