El domino 12 de enero fue un día lleno de buen fútbol, desde horas del mediodía me vi en la necesidad de dividir pantallas ya que simultáneamente se estaban jugando la final de Kings World Cup Nations, competición que ya he reseñado en ésta comunidad y el partido del Arsenal contra el Manchester United por FA Cup. Poco tiempo después, se jugó la final de la Super Copa de España entre en el Real Madrid y el FC Barcelona; es así que la diversión futbolística estaba asegurada para la tarde del domingo, yo en lo particular estaba encantado con tal programación y aunque terminé la jornada un poco agotado de tanto ver la pantalla, no me quejo.

En lo que a la Kings World Cup Nations respecta, ésta la jugaron Brasil y Colombia, fue un partido cerrado hasta que en horas finales se abrió fruto de la desesperación de la selección cafetera que buscó empatar el partido por cualquier medio, pero eso hizo que dejaran varios espacios abiertos que Brasil aprovecho con muchísima efectividad. El día estuvo lleno de varias actividades, desde presentaciones en vivo de artistas famosos hasta un partido de leyendas contra youtubers y streamers famosos. Sé que no mucha gente está familiarizada con éste torneo, pero créanme que tiene cosas interesantes que aportar.

Los invito a ver el video para que conozcan mis impresiones de éste buen domingo que estuvo cargado de mucho fútbol y de partidos muy importantes para millones de fanáticos alrededor del mundo, se jugaron cosas importantes y en ese sentido el espectáculo estuvo garantizado. These are quite complicated days in my country, there is a lot of uncertainty in the environment and frankly that has me a little distracted and anxious, but as there are things that are out of our hands, there is no choice but to continue doing what we can. Sometimes it is inevitable to fall into this vicious circle of generalized anxiety, believe me many of us try to ignore the situation, but it is something very big what is currently at stake in my country and in that sense it is totally impossible to ignore the terrible things that are happening around us, but well, this is not a post to talk about how I feel or the situation of my country, so let's go with the musical issue.

Today I bring a song from a very interesting band, the Swedish Ghost have a very particular style as they can have songs with heavy metal, but also others very pop rock style. I don't like this band at all, but I listen to some of their catchiest songs and “Square Hammer” is one of those. One of the things that caught my attention about this song is its lyrics, more specifically the chorus, in short, it talks about someone trying to swear before the devil, of course, this doesn't mean that I'm interested in those matters haha, but it seems to me that the way they composed that part of the song rhymes pretty well.

Son días bastante complicados en mi país, hay mucha incertidumbre en el ambiente y francamente eso me tiene un poco distraído y angustiado, pero como hay cosas que se escapan de nuestras manos pues no queda más opción que seguir haciendo lo que se puede. A veces es inevitable caer en éste círculo vicioso de ansiedad generalizada, créanme que muchos intentamos ignorar la situación, pero es algo muy grande lo que se está jugando actualmente mi país y en ese sentido es totalmente imposible ignorar las terribles cosas que están pasando a nuestro alrededor, pero bueno, éste no es un post para hablar de cómo me siento ni de la situación de mi país, así que vamos con el asunto musical.

Hoy traigo una canción de una banda bastante interesante, los suecos Ghost tienen un estilo muy particular ya que pueden tener canciones con heavy metal, pero también otras muy al estilo pop rock. Esta banda no es de mi entero agrado, pero escucho algunas de sus canciones más pegajosas y “Square Hammer” es una de esas. Una de las cosas que más me llamó la atención de ésta canción es su letra, más específicamente el coro, en resumen, habla de alguien que intenta juramentarse ante él diablo, claro que, no quiere decir esto que yo esté interesado en esos asuntos jaja, pero me parece que la forma en la compusieron esa parte de la canción rima bastante bien.

For this cover I used a pretty basic but effective bass effect, I have learned that sometimes it is not good to overdo it with sound effects so as not to deviate too much from the essence of the songs, the result as far as I'm concerned was quite satisfactory. As I have already mentioned, I edit the songs to make them more shareable, I know that the time of each of you is limited, but don't worry, believe me you will be able to hear the best of the song, a big hug to all of you!

Para éste cover usé un efecto de bajo bastante básico, pero efectivo, he aprendido que a veces no es bueno exagerar con efectos de sonido para no desviarnos mucho de la esencia de las canciones, el resultado en lo que a mí respecta fue bastante satisfactorio. Como ya he mencionado, edito las canciones para hacerlas más compartas, sé que el tiempo de cada uno de ustedes es limitado, pero no se preocupen, créanme que podrán escuchar lo mejor de la canción. ¡Un fuerte abrazo para todos!

I don't usually bring music posts to this community, but I think I'll do it more often from now on, I had a lot of fun doing this cover and that of course encourages me to bring others. I made this bass cover because @tegoshei recently suggested it to me in a comment, I loved his idea and I planned to do it as soon as I had time, and well, today is the day. Anime openings or endings are undoubtedly a fundamental part of this otaku world, many of us listen to many of these songs and probably even became a fan of a band thanks to an anime.

The one I share today is not just another song, it is nothing more and nothing less than the second opening of Naruto which is performed by the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, the song is called “Haruka Kanata” which means in English “Far and beyond”. We heard this opening between chapters 23 and 53, and well, I think all of us here remember with great affection the Chūnin exams, I think it was in that arc that I really became a fan of Naruto, each chapter was worth gold and listening to this song every time I went to see one was amazing, no doubt they were beautiful times.

This is my last post of the year 2024 and in that sense I wanted to share with you a small #recap2024 of what was my activity in this beloved blockchain. It was a very intense year that began with my return to Venezuela and that little by little was forged as the months progressed. The transition of moving from one country to another did not stop my activity at any time, on the contrary, that made my activity was increasing exponentially.

There were 20 communities in which I walked this year in which of course music and reviews were the most numerous, I also generated a lot of sports content and shared other varied experiences. Éste es mi último post del año 2024 y en ese sentido quería compartir con ustedes un pequeño #recap2024 de lo que fue mi actividad en ésta amada blockchain. Fue un año muy intenso que inició con mi retorno a Venezuela y que poco a poco se fue forjando a medida que avanzaron los meses. La transición de mudarme de un país a otro no detuvo en ningún momento mi actividad, por el contrario, eso hizo que mi actividad fuera aumentando exponencialmente.

Fueron 20 las comunidades por las cuales me pasee éste año en las que por supuesto la música y las reseñas fueron las más numerosas, también generé bastante contenido deportivo y compartí otras experiencias muy variadas. Tengo previsto que el 2025 sea de mucha más actividad, también tengo pensado explorar otras comunidades y formatos para seguir formándome como creador de contenido, hasta ahora he hecho cosas que nunca imaginé sería capaz, así que partiendo de allí tengo confianza en que podré desarrollarme mucho más. Luego de un tiempo sin ir al cine, consideramos que era una oportunidad interesante para ir a ver lo que más nos llamara la atención. Es así que fuimos a ver The Substance, una película dirigida por Cotalie Fargeat y protagonizada por Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley y Dennis Quaid. El género de la película es terror corporal y drama. Ya habíamos visto un par de criticas bastante controversiales de la película y eso aumento mucho más nuestras expectativas.

Es así que en horas de la noche asistimos a nuestro cine de costumbre con la intención de ver algo distinto y créannos que así fue, nos encontramos con una película muy distinta de lo que vimos en el trailer, aunque ya éste nos había dado algunas pistas. Sabíamos que el tema físico y superficial iba a ser el tema principal, pero no estábamos preparados para lo que vimos, sobre todo al final de película.

After a while without going to the movies, we thought it was an interesting opportunity to see whatever caught our attention. So we went to see The Substance, a film directed by Cotalie Fargeat and starring Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid. The genre of the film is body horror and drama. We had already seen a couple of rather controversial reviews of the movie and that raised our expectations a lot more.

So in the evening we went to our usual movie theater with the intention of seeing something different and believe us, we found a movie very different from what we saw in the trailer, although the trailer had already given us some clues. We knew that the physical and superficial theme was going to be the main topic, but we were not prepared for what we saw, especially at the end of the movie.

Es así que no pude realizar la reseña en caliente al salir del cine y tuve que irme a casa para poder pensar con mayor claridad y hablarles objetivamente sobre ésta película que tal y como dice el título del post, los dejará perplejos. So I couldn't do the review in the heat of the moment after leaving the theater and I had to go home to be able to think more clearly and talk objectively about this film that, as the title of the post says, will leave you perplexed. It is an honor for me to participate once again in the Hive Music Festival. My previous experience was very pleasant since I received a warm welcome which made me feel very good and eager to return. So in my second participation I bring a very well known song in the Venezuelan rock, “El martillo” by the band Caramelos de Cianuro has a rhythm and a very particular energy that makes that even in parties not related to rock this song is present to encourage it and make the attendees jump and enjoy.

To make this bass cover, I downloaded the song from the band's official Youtube channel and then edited it with the Moises application which allowed me to remove the original bass line. Then, through the audio editing tool Cubase 5, I recorded my own bass line to edit its sound to my liking. Lately when I do this I tend to use a very robust or rustic, rock-like effect, but this time I used a slightly softer and simpler one. I wanted to do this little experiment to know your opinion about it, since the person who does the sound mix is not exactly the one who chooses the best effect, that's usually a very subjective matter.

As far as the song is concerned, it is part of the album Harakiri City that was released in 1996, it is a short song, but fast and full of energy, in fact, I would say that “El martillo” has one of the most disruptive sounds of the band since after that album the style was changing progressively. In later years we did not hear more songs of that style in the band, but they did manage to amaze us with very good songs with unique and original style, which makes Caramelos de Cianuro one of the most representative bands of Venezuelan rock.

Es para mí un honor participar una vez más en el Hive Music Festival. Mi experiencia anterior fue muy placentera ya que recibí una cálida bienvenida la cual me hizo sentir bastante bien y con ánimos de regresar. Es así que en mi segunda participación traigo una canción muy conocida en el rock venezolano, "El martillo" de la banda Caramelos de Cianuro tiene un ritmo y una energía bastante particular que hace que incluso en fiestas no relacionadas con el rock ésta canción esté presente para animarla y hacer brincar y gozar a los asistentes.

Para realizar este cover de bajo, descargué la canción del canal oficial de Youtube de la banda y luego la edité con la aplicación Moises la cual me permitió eliminar la línea de bajo original. Luego, a través de la herramienta de edición de audio Cubase 5, grabé mi propia línea de bajo para editar su sonido a mi gusto. Últimamente cuando hago esto suelo usar efecto robustos o rústicos, muy propios del rock, pero esta vez usé uno un poco más suave y simple. Quise hacer éste pequeño experimento para saber su opinión al respecto ya que quien realiza la mezcla de sonido no es precisamente quien elige el mejor efecto, eso suele ser una cuestión muy subjetiva.

En lo que a la canción respecta, ésta forma parte del álbum Harakiri City que fue lanzado en el año 1996, es una canción corta, pero rápida y llena de energía, de hecho, diría que “El martillo” tiene uno de los sonidos más disruptivos de la banda ya que luego de ese álbum el estilo fue cambiando progresivamente. En años posteriores no escuchamos más canciones de ese estilo en la banda, pero sí que lograron asombrarnos con muy buenas canciones con estilo único y original, lo cual hace que Caramelos de Cianuro sea una de las bandas más representativas de rock venezolano.

Ya pasamos el ecuador de la eliminatoria y en ese sentido inicia la segunda vuelta de partidos. La fecha 10 promete ser el inicio de una serie de encuentros que poco a poco se irán tornando como enfrentamientos directos, de hecho, el Paraguay - Venezuela, por ejemplo, es uno de esos. La fecha anterior tuvo resultados que desde mi punto de vista eran poco probables, pero no creo que suceda lo mismo en ésta que está por jugarse.

We have already passed the halfway point of the qualifying round and the second round of matches is about to begin. Once again I would like to share with you my determination to show you the roads of my city. I believe that through these videos I can make you travel at least for a moment to this region so you can get to know new places that you will probably never be able to visit. The world is full of roads of all kinds and I in particular would love to know many of these through this community, I think it's pretty simple to activate the camera of our phones when we cross a road.

In this opportunity, I will show you a route that I made to an area called La Candelaria for which I had to cross two important avenues of my city. I started on José Casanova Godoy avenue at the height of the Maracay Medical Center, I can also mention the McDonals on Las Delicias avenue as a reference.

So I traveled the entire José Casanova Godoy avenue until the end of its section and made a connection with Universidad avenue, an important road artery that serves as one of the main access to the municipality Mario Briceño Iragorri, which was where I was headed. These two avenues are usually very busy, but motivated by the time the traffic was light.

We are just a few hours away from experiencing new and vibrant emotions with the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. We are about to pass through the halfway point of the qualifiers and in this sense, the matches that will be played in the following matches will become more and more important and influential in the standings. For week 21 of this competition I'm pleased to bring a song I've been listening to since I was a kid. Rod Stewart is a reference of the music of the 70's and 80's, and well, “Do ya think I'm sexy?” is one of those songs from his golden era. Something I always liked about this song is how the bass sounds, in this particular song they give it a quite distinctive sound and it has a lot of prominence in the song.

I recorded this song in record time since I don't have much time available right now, so it was an interesting challenge since at least for me it's not a song that can be played quickly and without practice, however, I must say that I had a lot of fun in the process and I liked the result, it could have been better, but I liked it.

By the way, I shot a promotional video related to Vibes and Hive and posted it on X, Shorts and Tik Tok.

As I usually do, I took the original song from the official Youtube channel, edited it to make it shorter, but believe me the best part is in the presentation. I removed the original bass with the Moises application and then recorded my bass line. I hope my participation will be to everyone's liking, greetings!
