Some people enjoy being alone. At the beach, the movies and on vacation, I'm one of those people. Thanks for listening.
What say you about these times we're living in, dear cat owners? Running out of cat litter? Me, too. Thank you for listening.
Some years ago, a dear friend gifted me with a one-quart container of pure Vermont maple syrup. I explained I was not a big fan because it was too sweet for my taste. I may have kept the conversation short trying to keep her feelings from getting hurt. I had not even open it. Some years later, I opened it. To my delight, this Vermont Grade A Medium Amber syrup was DELICIOUS! Upon her suggestion, I might even sweeten my coffee with it - if I could afford it. Since that time, whenever I cook pancakes, I reach for the maple syrup. I also thank God for this friend I have known and loved since high school who lives long distance. Have a great weekend. Try new foods for the heck of it. You might be surprised. Thank you for listening.
TGIF! Kicking off this holiday weekend with great food and wine? That's my desire for you, your friends and family. Thank you for listening.
This is about stocking on food supplies by home cooks during this new surge in covid cases. Panic shopping is back with a run on red meat and other food items. Already there are fewer people inside supermarkets. Many who continue to shop are not wearing masks. Americans are dealing with food shortages this Labor Day weekend trying to stay safe by keeping their distance from other people. This is not about climate change and Hurricane Ida although related in terms of essential food and beverage deliveries. These are very troubling times. Thanks for listening.
There we were face to face with no masks talking about roast beef like two buds without a care in the world. Didn't even occur to me to raise my mask as I showed him a picture of the meat I was looking for on my cellphone. At that moment, we were less than one foot apart. He found it and we parted with a smile. Hope that virus was nowhere in sight. If I do contract the virus, you'll know I died a happy death from sharing photos in the meat department at Kroger with Don. Trusting your Labor Day holiday is filled with kindness and love. Thanks for listening.
