Today's podcast was inspired by a young software developer from Texas visiting a next door neighbor. After we talked, I remembered my job for a tech company in New Jersey with software developers. Every Friday after work during the summer, we gathered together on the balcony for beer and pizza to welcome the weekend. We were close to prepared food for breakfast and lunch at a cafeteria nearby and even closer to beer and wine in the office refrigerator. Software developers are well paid, love their job and good food. Today is Friday. I plan to have pizza and Sangria in my backyard for dinner tonight as I celebrate life and memories of the software developers in New Jersey. Have a great weekend. Thanks for listening.
Welcome! Future food and wine episodes will be published on Sangria with Me. Today's podcast is about wine terms and my book Live on Tape about interviews with people who work in the wine industry. Thank you for listening.
There is more to this story. What measures can homeowners take to protect their precious flowers and fruit trees from deer that come to visit each year looking for food? See the video on my YouTube channel showing these plants protected from deer that cross the front yard at night and during the day in SE Ohio. Guard dogs? Motion detectors? What about smoke trees? Yes! My tree is 100 feet tall and about 60 feet wide providing a natural fence line. Thank you for listening.
Today's episode is about greeting each new day with morning coffee on the front lawn. Weather permitting. Stay safe, be well. Thank you for listening.
"Put the Blame on Mame" is a song by Allan Roberts and Doris Fisher, originally written for the classic film noir Gilda in 1946, in which it was sung by the title character, played by Rita Hayworth with the singing voice of Anita Kert Ellis dubbed in. That's one possibility but highly unlikely as a non- member in Actor's Equity. I assume all responsibility and hope Dr. Mercola's herbal repellent flea collars to do their job. I bank on OXYMED's soothing all-purpose wipes to relieve itching from allergies and hot spots. Lastly, it is too soon to know if Homeo Pet's drops added daily to the food "promote temporary relief from seasonal allergies". My heartfelt desire as caregiver is to provide comfort, peace and tranquility to my pets without breaking the bank. The total cost came to $96.00 which included Vet's Best 96 oz. flea and tick home spray for cats. Free shipping for orders over $50. After one week, there are no observable adverse side effects. These product names may be useful to some cat owners.
In making this podcast, I thought it might be fun to use the first eight letters of the English alphabet. A long-distance friend who loves animals and long walks has put together a collection of pictures using the entire alphabet to teach young children. Here's an episode recap as it pertains to cat care: A for acclimation. B for Battle. C for Comfort. D for Desire. E for every cat owner. F for fleas. G for Good News. H for Happiness, Peace and Tranquility. XYZ - only if you're a cheerleader. Wait. Xylophone! I actually own one of those and have for many years, not going back to 1946. Please be kind. This is a delightful instrument.
Thanks for listening.
Highly recommended! If you bake pizza at home and prefer a light and airy dough (without making it yourself), this is the way to go. Can't say enough good things about this "naturally rising crust" for my first time homemade pizza with all the fixings aka toppings. Visit my YouTube channel for the first disco week video. That's me dancing in the kitchen. Let's dance! Thank you for listening.
Sometimes I'm happy, sometimes I blue. My disposition depends on Freschetta when it comes to pizza dough. Today I used the Freschetta brand to make a pizza with all the fixings in my own kitchen. See pictures of this amazing looking pizza with garlic chicken and pepperoni on my YouTube channel with the same name: Pizza4Dad. Opps. I mean Music4Dad. Thanks for listening.
Based on the latest CDC guidelines about the new variant, the message is loud and clear. Vaccines and surgical masks are the best defense. Are there enough surgical masks for every human being in the world to slow down the spread of this virus? If you plan to be with other people it may be the wise thing to do to visit the pharmacy ASAP for masks while supplies last. Thank you for listening.
If you grew up in the 1950's, like most children you probably learned your ABC's in public or private schools. If you were lucky, there may also have been children's books to read at home with words and pictures. If you liked to write about your life, you may have kept diaries for many years under lock and key. I was one of those children. I also liked to read everything put in front of me from food labels and instructions to newspapers and textbooks. In the workplace as an adult, I found myself surrounded by accomplished writers. Whenever I walk into a public library, bookstore or classroom my whole body is energized. Reading and writing continue to capture my interest from A for Apples, B for Bikers, and C for Coffee. Thank you for listening.
