There are some things you write because you have something to say. And then there are things you write because something inside you refuses to let you stay silent.
I wrote this piece last August while I was in deep prayer, seeking God for guidance, clarity, and understanding. I was in the middle of an incredibly painful season—not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. There were things I couldn’t explain, questions I couldn’t answer, and battles I couldn’t simply reason my way through.
So I prayed.
And somewhere in that stillness, God compelled me to write.
What came out wasn’t something I sat down and carefully constructed. It was something I poured out. Words from a heart that was hurting, searching, wrestling, believing, and still trying to understand what God was doing in the midst of it all.
Sometimes the most honest writing doesn’t come from comfort. It comes from the wilderness.
This is one of those pieces.
And it is only one of many.
I have a body of work—stories, reflections, prayers, philosophical explorations, and deeply personal writings—that came out of seasons most people never saw. Some of them are difficult. Some are uncomfortable. Some are deeply spiritual. But all of them are honest.
This is one of those moments I decided to open the door and let you see a little of what was happening behind the scenes.
One of many…
Take a moment. Listen with an open heart. And enjoy. ❤️🙏🏾
