Men's Health Week has officially kicked off. A time for men to prioritize their physical, emotional and social health by staying connected and seeking support early if something is wrong. In today's fast-paced society, looking after ourselves particularly our health often is a low priority. It can be hard for men specifically to find the time to exercise, eat well and book an annual check-up with their GP. Added to that is the stigma that prevents conversations about men's health issues and a laid back 'I'll be right" kinda attitude often adopted by Australian men. But little is known about how much of a negative impact ignoring health warnings can have on them in the long run. In this episode of 'Keeping Up With the Current', you'll hear about Men's health from the perspective of 34 year old male, Abdullah and the struggles he has had to face in terms of his own mental and physical well-being.
