In this lecture, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Shafie starts off by briefly talking about the 10th of Muharram (also known as the Day of ^Ashura') and the events that coincided with it, amongst those events was the unjust killing of Imam Al-Husayn, one of the grandsons of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him by an unjust group of transgressors from his nation. The sheikh goes into more detail about the incident and how those who participated in his killing all had a terrible ending.

The anniversary of ^Ashura' on the tenth of Al-Muharram is the commemoration of the day when Allah saved our master Nuh and those with him from the great flood and then allowed them to land safely, the anniversary of the day when Allah saved Musa and his Muslim followers from the unjust, sinful and disbelieving Pharaoh.
