IULY.B delivers his debut album ‘Dimensions’ via Switzerland’s Adam’s Bite in April 2024, comprised of eleven originals from the Romanian artist.

Across the past decade Iasi, Romania’s IULY.B has steadily stamped his mark on the underground scene through his releases on the likes of Metereze, Constant Sound, Visionquest and Infuse among others. Here he marks a milestone in his career, delivering his debut long player for the Swiss imprint Adam’s Bite.

Across the eleven track ‘Dimensions’ album, IULY.B embraces the long player format to deliver a psychedelia infused range of material in his signature, raw, subtly nuanced and hypnotic style. Opener ‘Seagulls Passing By’ perfectly sets the tone with field recordings from the beach, breezy pads and a shuffled drum groove. The project then shifts up gears continually with ‘Altered Memories’ rolling rhythm, choppy bass and sweeping synths, the aptly titled ‘Bump’s gritty bass stabs, tripped out vocals and crunchy drums.

‘Aurora’ then drifts back into deeper realms with entrancing atmospherics, skippy percussion and acid-tinged synth licks before shifts straight back to raw dance floor ready material with a murky bass grooves, skippy drums and dubbed out vocals. ‘Ronnie’s Squat’ sees IULY blur the lines between House and Techno next with a gritty acid laced bass hook, swinging drums and bubbling synth flutters.

The story continues with ‘Dark Safari’ and its fluttering low-end pulsations, crisp percussion and tension building synth swells before ‘Variations’ heads back to the roots of Dub Techno, traversing through seven minutes of swirling dub echoes, hypnotic chimes and muted drums.

‘Between Worlds’ sees IULY once again moving in a new direction with saturated electro leaning rhythms, elongated subs and resonant synth licks before the mesmerizing textures of ‘Atlantis’ merge an amalgamation of melodies with a sturdy rhythmic foundation.

Track ten ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ then begins to wind down the project with an electronica leaning aesthetic, bringing together ethereal pads with plucked synth melodies and a chugging stab sequence before ‘Leaving Out’ concludes the project, a subtly unfurling journey through cascading atmospherics, robotic vocal chants and soft, broken percussion.

Shelter Me is a compassionate and dedicated collective that, in our modest capacity, endeavors to address the challenge of the continuously expanding homeless communities across the UK.

Our primary goal is to raise funds by leveraging the platform of electronic dance music, whether it involves organizing events or, as is the case here, releasing music.

"Shelter Me - In Crisis" represents the third installment in our ongoing Shelter Me series, dedicated to supporting UK-based homelessness charities. Building upon the success of our previous albums, "Beats for Beds - The Remixes" and "Shelter Me - The Album," which collectively raised over 7K in donations for Shelter, this latest release aims to further our contributions, only this time to Crisis.

This album has assembled some of the most talented artists and producers from the renowned ALFOS scene, including Duncan Gray, Zillas On Acid, Al Mackenzie, A-Tweed, and Tronik Youth, among others. With such an impressive lineup, we are determined to exceed our past accomplishments, setting an initial fundraising goal of 4K.

Throughout the past five years Berlin based artist Philipp Priebe has been steadily shaping his own creative universe through a constant stream of original material, live mixes, merchandise and accompanying art series for Stólar and himself. His recent album was released on the label to wide acclaim and now it will unveil a selection of remixes of choice cuts from the project, first up to take the reins is the beloved Berlin artist, Rising Sun.

Up first is ‘On The Way Out (Rising Sun Remix I)’, characterised with the producer’s delicate and detailed style via crisp percussion, intricately processed vocal chops, fluttering synth sequences and cinematic atmospherics. The ‘On The Way Out (Rising Sun Reprise I)’ follows, as the name would suggest offering a textural ambient counterpart to the first interpretation.

The ‘Marble (Rising Sun Remix II)’ follows next and merges expansive dub delays and weighty drums with fragments of the original composition. To round out the release we once again revisit ‘On The Way Out’ with the ‘Rising Sun Reprise II’, this time the ethereal pads are met with crunchy break beats and mesmeric vocal chants.

Los Angeles based imprint Velvet Bikini delivers a new album by The Jack Cardigan Orchestra and Joseph Matick this May, entitled ‘WESTERN PINK’ and comprised of ten original psychedelia infused compositions.

Arranged and performed by “The Jack Cardigan Orchestra and Joseph Matick,” a web of performers and contributors from 10 years of ideation, the collection of tracks that would eventually make up the album arrived in the inbox of Velvet Bikini label head, Luke C., amongst 50 other recordings, voice notes, scenes, and random auditory captures. The folder of audio sketched out a fascinating compendium that was cut, compiled, and edited by Luke into an LP that plays out as the current oeuvre of the ‘WESTERN PINK’ filmic universe.

Like its overarching film, the 10 tracks touch on symbolism and prophecy via intriguing takes on ambient, noise, outsider folk, psych rock, and trip-hop adjacent grooves. It’s a unique body of work that offers an esoteric aesthetic designed to captivate and challenge.

‘WESTERN PINK’ will be available digitally and as a limited-edition VHS and cassette release.

Joseph Matick is a Paris-based poet and filmmaker. ‘WESTERN PINK’ is his first offering for Velvet Bikini C/O Avec Jack.

Two volumes of remixes crafted by brilliant producers who reinterpret the various and rich musical material of the vinyl “FIRE feat Adrian Sherwood,” recorded during the live performance where the Fire Crew met the Dub Legend.

Kaleidoscopic viewpoints from heterogeneous sound worlds that further expand the horizon of a record that is already a journey in itself. The cover contains a precious gem: the strips of tape that dub master Sherwood placed on the mixer to define the channels during the live performance. The same tracks were used by the remixers for their reworks, adding unique extra layers to this extraordinary collaboration.

The successful creative disco-graphic synergy continues between Simona Faraone’s label, New Interplanetary Melodies (NIM), and the artistic collective Kuro Jam coordinated by Gianluca Pernafelli.

After creating the two V/A sound-tracks, Kimera Mendax EP (NIMKurojam 001) and Kimera Mendax Vol.2 (NimKurojam002), for this third release of Kuro Jam Recordings line, the team assigned to the Rome producer T/ERROR - already featured on the second volume of Kimera Mendax series with two tracks (KX2048 on vinyl and Rising Tide in the digital re-pack) - the music version of the new,eponymous comic strip. The DATA SURFER of the title is a special mixer: among its controllers, in addition to those for sounds, there is one that reads, mixes and recomposes space-time.

What would happen if it ended up in the hands of a suburban hoodlum angry at the world and intoxicated by electronic music? The answer lies in an irregular and corrosive graphic journey that the graphic novel unravels in 6 chapters, in a symbiotic dialogue with the 6 vinyl tracks. In five temporal dimensions curated by five talented artists.

In two cities - Rome and Berlin - criss-crossed by pain, youthful passions, torments, desire for redemption, delusions, desire for life. And by a single, unstoppable sound-narrative flow that will sweep through the protagonists’ lives and caress the readers’ hearts.

The “out-of-sync soundtrack” curated by T/ERROR opens with the Drexcian elegance of Rising Tide (A1), already published in the digital version of Kimera Mendax, and now available for the first time also on vinyl, to continue in the wake of the title track Data Surfer (A2) with its powerful electro-acid tones. Last Brute in the firmament (A3) closes side A of the disc: in this track the Roman artist catapults us into a dense and epic atmosphere, ideal both for the smokiest dancefloors and for space chases. Minimum length (B1) opens the second side with a dark, mechanical-sounding track that may remind the listener of certain industrial-themed library music, while Redundant Flux Storm (B2) sounds like a journey through tension-filled atmospheres, evoking futuristic cityscapes and machines in eternal motion.

The B-side closes with the syncopated, liquid electro of Endless Wave (B3). To add further depth to this release we also have 3 bonus tracks exclusive to the digital version; Shadows (1), From The Deep (2) and Space Time Coordinates (3), which further explore the boundaries of the most intransigent and refined electro/techno, combining spacey and complex sounds that transport us into a crossmedia continuum of sounds and images that leave their mark.

Bufi & Kubebe are pleased to announce the release of "Sternana Remixes," a package of reinterpretations of their latest collaborative EP, originally released under our sister label, Fauna Reve. This new release showcases the unique visions of Balam, Tyu, Mufit, and Hermetics, who transform the original tracks through their personal styles, taking the musical experience to new and exciting dimensions.

The EP opens strongly with Balam's remix of "Sternana," an acidic and energetic track infused with trance vibes. It is followed by Tyu's remix of "El Jockey," which blends enveloping drums, resonant basslines, and psychedelic elements to create a hypnotic and captivating atmosphere.

Directly from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mufit arrives with his remix of "Cicatriz," a deep cut that combines break drums with electrifying bass. To close the release, we have the version by the Argentinean Hermetics of "Sternana," a catchy and subsonic cut that seduces with its powerful kick and captivating vocal elements.
