It's not often you hear of someone following the model Jesus set for us in discipleship. Honestly, speaking with Conan reminded me of the absolute necessity of discipling someone in and around God's Word. Every single believer in Jesus Christ should be training, equipping, and living life with others in the same fashion as Jesus. Jesus' method is the only effective method of discipleship within the church. If there were a better way to disciple, Jesus would have done it.

I have to admit that I left this conversation different than before I had it.

These were the powerful takeaways for me:

1. Their perspective on fostering blew my mind.

2. Being reminded of the humility in authenticity.

3. Families have seasons that ebb and flow.

4. It's best to reevaluate commitments as a family after the fact.

5. Finally, they reminded me of the joy and fruit in hospitality.
