5 Paralympic gold medals, 12 World titles and 5 Defining Moments for Hannah Cockroft! ‘Hurricane’ Hannah is the latest guest to join me on My Defining Moments, as the T34 Wheelchair racer discusses the highs and lows of her career so far.
Since winning 2 Paralympic titles at a home Games aged just 20, Hannah has gone on to dominate her event. A seven year undefeated streak came to an end at the hands of her younger compatriot. But, as Hannah explains, that only fueled the fire for greater success.
Listen to Hannah explain how she first got into sport at a relatively late age, what it’s like to receive an MBE and her shock at the addition of the 800 metres to the Paralympic program!
Plus we hear about her dream week; breaking world records AND being prom Queen, getting mobbed in Westfields shopping centre and how presenting Countryfile affected her career on the track.
