The Toronto Fringe Festival runs July 3-14 at locations throughout the city.
We’ll be on site reviewing as much as we possibly can so be sure to check back at MyEntertainmentWorld.ca as well as @MyEntWorld on Instagram to read all our reviews as they’re published.

Our annual Baseball Roundtable Podcast returns, previewing the 2024 season for the Toronto Blue Jays.
This year’s panel consists of Jays superfan Melissa Wright and Sky Dome insider Luis Fernandes, alongside returning villain die-hard Yankees fan Chris Behmke who shares his outsider take on the Jays and predictions for his own beloved team.

During the COVID-19 lockdowns, to deal with isolation and lack of live theatre, we started gathering some of our favourite people every Tuesday & Saturday night to read scripts over Zoom. We read all 38 Shakespeare plays in six months. Then we kept going. We decided to create mini-seasons featuring highlights from the canons of major writers across generations, plus a few bonus episodes thrown in.
All of our readings are available to enjoy as full videos on our YouTube page but we’re also releasing them in audio form so they can be accessed through your favourite podcast app.
This episode features our cold reading of Jean Anouilh’s beautiful Antigone, the finale of our season of modern Greek adaptations.

The Outstanding Ensemble-nominated cast of Silent Protagonist Theatre’s Fringe hit Frankenstein(esque) are not just a cast but a creative team who collectively created the show along with director Nicole Wilson. Augusta “Gus” Monet aka Coyote Ugly is nominated for Outstanding Performance (Supporting) for their memorable work in Doctor Faustus, an original two-person adaptation created & performed by Gus and their creative partner James Evans (who makes a cameo in our interview). In the show, Gus’ drag character Coyote Ugly played a joyfully sinister Mephistopheles gleefully selling tickets to Faustus’ downfall.

Toronto’s favourite improv company Bad Dog Theatre is taking over the Assembly Theatre’s Parkdale space this month for a Comedy on Queen Street festival featuring 60+ shows and countless fantastic artists. We caught up with a pair of those artists to discuss one of the shows on offer: Holiday! An Improvised Musical
Based on Sondheim’s Company, Holiday! features a rotating cast of improv all-stars making up a new masterpiece on the spot every night Dec 13-17. We spoke with director Jan Caruana and producer/castmember Stephanie Malek to find out what’s in store.
