Holy cow, Australia representing! While most of our listeners are in the US, Australia comes in second in subscribers, so we thought we'd celebrate with an Australia theme. There are no koalas but there is (kind of) a kangaroo.

Another long one, but for legitimate reasons this time! For our 10th Episode Spectacular, we decided to celebrate by giving you TEN ghost stories! We’ve each picked five ghost stories from the (American) Civil War, including Kolb’s Farm, Fort Sumter, Gettysburg and President Lincoln. Somewhere in the middle is a philosophical, existential conversation about what might make a haunting. Tangents are at the end (mostly). Enjoy! And Happy New Year!
First Ames tell you all about Sarah Winchester and her famous Winchester Mystery House, where she claimed to have been cursed and haunting by hundreds of spirits killed by the Winchester Rifle. Then Mel psychs us all out with a creepy vampire story from Kisiljevo, Serbia.
Ames officially retracts her support of Thanos and we have another Viewer Mail about a ghostly marriage, followed by the Castle of Good Hope in Capetown, South Africa and the ghostly Queen Mary.
Remember to rate, review, and if you haven't already, subscribe! We also love viewer mail, so send us some!
We managed to stay (mostly) on topic this week! Our first story is back to basics with the classic haunted house, that Ames took from our Viewer Mail and was sent in by Scott from Rochester. The Dandy House in Hinsdale, NY has a lot going on, but wouldn't you if you were built on a site of a 200-something year old massacre and right next to continuous cult activity? Then Mel is going to tell you all about the Haunted Island of Proveglia, just a short little ways from Venice, Italy. You'll have chills when you hear what happened to the thousands of plague-infected bodies. And, are those church bells you hear? Can't be, those bells were removed years ago!
Also, how do you pronouce octagonal? Asking for a friend.
Hello loyal viewers! Welcome to Episode 6 of My Favorite Haunting. We’re doing our first ever Viewer Mail and then going to prison- haunted prisons, that is! We’re going to tell you all about the happenings at Alcatraz and Eastern State Penitentiary. Remember to rate, review and subscribe!
Please note: This beast came out a bit long. Feel free to skip ahead to 29:45 if you want to just get right to the ghost stories. We won't blame you.
It's our fifth episode! Did anyone think we'd make it this far? Well, we did. Mel tackles a murder most foul at Big Moose Lake in the Adirondacks circa 1906, where the victim still hangs around. Then Ames dives into the behemoth that is the Waverly Hills Sanatorium. As always, there will be tangents galore. Enjoy!
The theme of the week is Haunted Hotels, and both ladies bring you stories with personal experiences. Ames tells you all about the Shanley Hotel in Napanoch, NY, where she personally investigated and got to play with a ghost cat! Then we head south where Mel brings you to the Hotel Provincial, where both Mel and Ames stayed on a vacation in New Orleans in 2009.
Our insistance on keeping our stories a surprise to each other backfires slightly, in the most hilarious way, when Mel busts out a bunch of ghost stories from Disneyland, of all places, but Ames totally read a text message wrong and decided to delve into the true story that inspired The Excoricist. There are also cat purrs and some slight drooling.
Our second episode brings you ghost stories from around the Rochester, NY area, starting with the Rundel Memorial Library and adjacent abandoned subway tunnel, then moving on to Hartwell Hall at SUNY Brockport. There will also be cats.
