Michelladonna is a dynamic actor, comedian, producer, and community organizer from Queens, NY. As the creator and host of the community collective I'm Finna Talk (@imfinnatalknyc), a free + accessible workshop and open mic series, she champions the creative voices of Queer Black and Brown artists in NYC, providing them with a vibrant platform to showcase their work.

She also hosts Shop Cats (@shopcatsshow), a delightful internet sensation that explores the charming world of cats in local shops across the city. She is the creator and host of Bodega Chat (@bodegachat), a podcast and platform highlighting New York culture + up-and-coming creatives and organizers. Additionally, Michelladonna has been featured on HBO’s Game Theory with Bomani Jones and runs Muñecas Sucias Comedy (@munecassucias), a pop-up show highlighting up-and-coming queer and BIPOC comedians.

Musician and songwriter Kevin Morby joins Devon on the show this week to draw comparisons between himself and Nina Simone, trade travel horror stories, and respond to a fascinating voicemail submission from a fan in Berlin. 

Kevin Morby is an American singer-songwriter whose career has traced a path from the Brooklyn indie underground to becoming one of contemporary folk-rock’s most distinctive voices. Born in Lubbock, Texas, and raised in the Midwest, Morby first gained attention as a member of the indie-folk band Woods before forming The Babies with Cassie Ramone. He launched his solo career with 2013’s “Harlem River,” beginning a prolific run of albums that established him as a thoughtful chronicler of American life.

Across records such as “Singing Saw,” “City Music,” “Oh My God,” and “This Is a Photograph,” Morby has developed a songwriting style rooted in vivid imagery, philosophical reflection, and a deep connection to place. His songs often blend folk, rock, soul, and Americana influences, drawing from traditions associated with artists like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Tom Petty while maintaining his own conversational, literary voice.

Morby’s most recent album, “Little Wide Open”(2026), marks another major step in his evolution. Produced with Aaron Dessner, the album explores home, memory, love, mortality, and the uncertainty of adulthood, with contributions from artists including Justin Vernon, Sylvan Esso’s Amelia Meath, and Lucinda Williams. With “Little Wide Open,” Morby continues to solidify his reputation as a modern American troubadour— an artist whose work transforms personal reflection into expansive songs about the shared experiences of growing older, searching for meaning, and finding beauty in uncertainty.

Josh Gondelman is a writer and comedian who incubated in Boston before moving to New York City, where he currently lives and most recently worked as the head writer and an executive producer for Desus & Mero on Showtime. Previously, he spent five years at Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, first as a web producer and then as a staff writer where he earned four Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and three WGA Awards. Josh also previously wrote for Fuse TV’s Billy On The Street.

Legendary producer and musician Dahi ("Money Trees" by Kendrick Lamar, "a lot" by 21 Savage, "Worst Behavior" by Drake) joins Devon on the show this week to pay homage to one of his favorite Jadakiss freestyles, speak on his creative process, and to discuss his new album, "Black Boy (Alternative)."

Comedian, author, and New York community basketball legend Joel Walkowski joins Devon on the show this week to call out Prince’s lyrics about sex, pay his respects to RXKNephew, and to talk about the new book he’s written, “Honolulu Blues.”

Joel Walkowski is a writer, comedian, ghostwriter, and community organizer whose work brings together memoir, pop culture, and academia in a voice that is both personal and sharply observant.

His new book, Honolulu Blues, explores those intersections through a distinctly autobiographical lens.

Walkowski’s background is in comedy, and he remains active on the New York City comedy scene. He also stars in the popular NFL Fan Therapy web series.

As a ghostwriter, Walkowski helps prominent individuals transform their experiences and perspectives into compelling memoirs. Outside of writing and comedy, he is perhaps best known as the founder of The Big Walkowski, a basketball tournament that began as a joke and has evolved into a fixture of New York City’s social scene. The event operates as a 501(c)(3) organization and raises funds to support organ donation through LiveOnNY. Walkowski also facilitates sobriety groups and thinks he’s good at it.
