It's the series finale! I recorded this as the finale to the second series which was then postponed with Covid and that series became the online episodes, so better late than never, we have finally reached the end of the series and welcome the legend that is Phill Jupitus for this bumper episode. I only asked for 30 minutes of his time but he spoke about his first gig for over an hour and it was so good... and his second first gig... and his third first gig, it all happens! Take a listen and thanks for joining me this series. I'll be back in 2023 but in the meantime, there'll be bonus episodes every week over on Patreon!

Ted Lasso's Roy Kent, aka Brett Goldstein joins the podcast this week to discuss his first ever gig. Recorded during his 2018 run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, recorded in a busy Pleasance Theatre - we've managed to restore the old files and make them sound crisp for your beautiful ears, so well done me for that. Well done Brett for becoming a global superstar in the time the files were lost, means a lot. Enjoy!

Recorded sometime in the late 1970's... or so it seems. Lauren Pattison joins the pod at long last as part of the thought-to-be gone but since recovered files. Recorded at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs late after a show, we discuss Lauren's start in comedy at a young age after watching Russell Howard live. She has since gone on to support Russell as well as picking up her second Edinburgh Fringe Award nomination, this time for Best Show for her show It Is What Is It. Find out how the journey began this week on My First Gig.
