Thanksgiving Week Compilation Episode - Best Of Mondays
Episode M1: Heroes In The Rows Around Us
We start My Good Three off with a story about people who risked their lives to keep others safe. This is the story about the sacrifice that the passengers of UA Flight 93 made on September 11th, 2001.
It centers on Todd Beamer, and the call he made to the Airphone operator just before he and the other passengers stormed the cockpit and prevented the airplane, which had been taken over by hijackers, from crashing into another Washington D.C. building.
There are many things to be thankful for, but on this anniversary of September 11th, my 11-year-old son and I talked about the incredible sacrifice these passengers made to protect our way of life.
Episode M3: Do We Need A President With Character
Former President Donald J. Trump. Vice President Kamala Harris. As we very quickly approach the 2024 Presidential Election Day, and the many policy differences, personality differences, and a list of promises and warnings are swirling around in our heads, it’s worth taking a moment to look at our first U.S. President, George Washington. We’ll quickly examine the core trait that defined his service, the impact that had on all of us, and why we should be thankful.
Episode M5: The Fight To Vote
Are you voting for Donald Trump or Kamala Harris? Or does your vote even matter? As we enter Election Day, questioning whether it’s worth disrupting our day to vote is somewhat normal. In this pre-election episode, we look back at the history of voting rights and just how much people sacrificed so we can freely walk into a polling station and cast our votes. While it doesn’t seem like much now, we can all be thankful for the system we have that respects all Americans and their vote.
