With two major winter storms striking Southern Ontario in less than a week, Brother Singh instructs our assembly on facing adversity. A positive attitude is an essential element of faith. "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations {or trials}; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."(James 1:2-4). God allows the negatives that happen to strengthen our faith.

Writing to the saints in Corinth concerning spiritual gifts in the Body of Christ, the Apostle Paul emphasized the significance of unity, stating, "God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him." (1 Corinthians 12:18).

The Corinthian church, started by Paul, had backslidden in his absence by rejecting the principles upon which it had been established. So, when we read the two epistles written to the Corinthians, let us remember that the Apostle is trying to salvage a church already undermined by the devil.

Brother Singh uses 1 Samuel, Chapters 1 and 2, to compare the role of the man of God over 3,000 years ago to that of 2025. God's method for meeting the needs of a wretched sinner like Brother Joe McCormick is the same today as in 1070 BCE. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them. (1 Samuel 2:8)

The best-known, yet arguably least understood, scripture in the Bible is John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

The manifestation of God's love is not a theory but the most practical application possible, surpassing all human understanding. We often recite John 3:16, but do we truly grasp the depth of its meaning?

The world teaches that when a person dies, they immediately go to heaven or hell. Roman Catholicism offers a third option of purgatory of intermediary penance for unconfessed sin. None of these views is scripturally valid. The Bible teaches, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23).

Death entered the world when Adam sinned, affecting every person born since. However, God's plan to save humankind provides hope through the resurrection of the dead.

Brother Sam, watering Brother Singh's lesson from Wednesday (01-29-26), explained the three types of bodies saints will be resurrected with when the Kingdom of God is established on earth. The Apostle Paul wrote: "There are celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars, for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption" (1 Corinthians 15:40-2)

A saint asked Brother Singh, "What happens to the good people in this world who are not part of the church when the Kingdom is established?"

This lesson briefly addresses an expansive topic with a few key scriptural references that dispel some common myths. A chorus we sung tonight describes having a "heart that is pure," meaning that no evil penetrates our hearts. I

Sister Carol Smith blessed our assembly with an inspired rendition of "THE GOODNESS OF GOD." Building from Wednesday evening's message, "TIMOTHY & LUKE," Brother Sam expounded on the concept of fulfilling our Pastor's joy. This involves being likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind" (Philippians 2:2). It must start with prayer. When we learn to depend upon God for our every need instead of our security blankets of credit cards, healthcare system, and financial system, we will develop Christ's love for God's word, His ministry, and the brethren.

The saints in the Mississauga assembly share their testimonies as we gather in God's house to share some of the grief of our beloved Brother John, who just experienced the loss of his brother. Death faces all of us, but thanks to the gospel, we face it with faith and comfort in the scriptures. We have a hope — the return of our Lord Christ Jesus —and the resurrection from the dead.

Regular followers of Brother Singh are aware of his admiration for specific individuals from the Bible for their unwavering faithfulness to the ministry. Three of those individuals were Joshua, Timothy, and Luke. This lesson focuses on the latter two, each making unique contributions to the work of God, and inspires us to follow their godly examples.
