60 Out, Our Freakling Brother Warren, Revisiting The Nest, Box of Dread, and The Lust Experience: Payback and Companions

In this episode, we head to 60 Out to do two of their escape rooms at their Melrose location (Grandma’s Masterplan and The Hangover). Russell heads to Vegas and is able to meet up with and have a short interview with one of our favorite tormentors, Warren Ross, of the Freakling Brothers Trilogy of Terror/The Victim Experience. While is Vegas, Russell also goes to Spy School as well as “Hand to God” at Majestic Repertory. He also makes a return visit to Scout Expedition Company‘s “The Nest“. We open the newest Box of Dread live!

Drunken Devil announces “The Sinner’s Social Club” and our favorite crisis management (possible) plant Larry announces a show for Fringe Fest call Dark Arts, plus 2 accompanying immersive pieces before and after the Fringe show!

Some fun things happening this and next weekend are: the closing weekend of “Urban Death” at Zombie Joes, closing weekend of “Tales From Tomorrow” from Force of Nature Productions, Scout Expedition Company’s “The Nest”, Bats Day weekend, as well as the opening of Speakeasy Society‘s “Johnny The Living”.

Catching up with The Lust Experience, we have some new people and websites entering the Lust arena. We have Macy, who seems to want to bring the Sinclair’s down. A new website is found called IConfidant and the person behind it, Stacey, reached out to some people. Noah and Sarah crash a meet up and also seems to hire a few “Insiders“.

Episode 48 will be split up into two parts. The first part will be reviews of all the things we’ve done recently and the second part will be all about The Lust Experience and what’s happened since our last podcast.

In this episode we got mail with Box of Dread and it was a zombie theme! We were treated with sideshow performers at a haunted theatre in Santa Ana at The Fools Festival. We escaped from Occam’s Apartment and the Norcross Art Gallery at Evil Genius Escape Rooms. We encountered a next level type of story telling in a beautiful immersive environment with Scout Expedition Company‘s “The Nest“. We return to Kansas to enter “The Door”, which is Chapter 3 of Speakeasy Society‘s “Kansas Collection”. Then we shoot over to Pasadena to encounter horror, monsters, and special fx…OH MY….at Monsterpalooza. We also give you a run down of what happened with the Black Matter Foundation.

Some news and new shows: Delusion started filming for their VR experience. The Bunker Experience escape room has added Chapter 2! Book of Phi is ramping back up and have a new “Theories” Facebook page. From the minds behind Creep LA, The Willows is a new site-specific immersive show that will soon be on sale. Infinitely Dinner Society is now accepting applications for membership. Speakeasy Society announced dates and put tickets on sale for the third part of the Johnny Cycle!

C(ovell), Firelight, Tortured Souls, and The Tension Experience Book Release Party

In this episode, we return to ABC Project‘s C(ovell) and get to see our complicated family one more time. We experience the different facets of love and being in love in SFS Theatre‘s “Firelight”. Then we head to Purgatory once again and experience some “Tortured Souls” at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre. We return home, to the Tension Experience compound for the “Chronicles of the OOA” book release party and witness OSDM coming back strong! That leads us into discussing and theorizing about what’s happened since then and tying it into The Lust Experience.

There’s a new mystery afoot with Order of Bileth and two new shows got announced and open next weekend: “Urban Death” from Zombie Joe and “Tales from Tomorrow” from Force of Nature Productions.

Fun things are happening this weekend and next weekend such as Noah from No Proscenium’s Immersive Town Hall, The Fools Festival, remounts of Speakeasy Society‘s Chapter 1: The Key and Chapter 2: The Axe, final performances of “Tortured Souls” at Zombie Joe’s as well as “Firelight” from SFS Theatre, Screenshot Productions “Fear Is What We Learned Here” opens, as well as Scout Expedition Company‘s “The Nest” with an announcement of an extension through May 28th!

The Spook Show 5 Special

Welcome to the Spook Show Special! Over the weekend, we went to Spook Show #5 held at Halloween Club in La Mirada! There was so much fun to be had and so many things to see!
