Bill Horan and NCC Student Zac Turkel talk with Matthew Neebe, the Director of the Town of Smithtown Horizons Counseling & Education Center about services are offered at Horizons, the role the Town Government plays with HCEC, and the prevention program being offered in the local district schools. We also talk with Stacey Sanders, the Executive Director for the Town of Smithtown Youth Bureau, about what services she offers, how the Town Government started & supported the bureau, and how one can get involved.

Bill Horan and NCC Student Zac Turkel talk with Stephanie Abrams, Director of Development for the Friedberg JCC in Oceanside, talking about Camp Ga'avah (Pride), a one-week camp for 12-18 year at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Wheatley Heights. The camp is open to LGBTQ+ and their allies from all over Long Island. It’s a safe, fun, traditional week of camp along with leadership workshops that will continue into year-round programming.

Bill Horan and NCC Student Zac Turkel talk with Lee Williams, owner of a new indoor cycling studio called CycleBar in Garden City. At over 130 studios and counting, CycleBar is the largest indoor cycling studio in the world, yet the new Garden City location is the first of its kind in New York. Lee is originally from England. He arrived in the US in 1995 with a plan – he was either going to become a professional soccer player, or a businessman. Fast forward 20 years and he finds himself launching New York’s first CycleBar!

Bill Horan and NCC Student Zac Turkel talk with Cheryl Davidson, Senior Director of Workforce Readiness at Northwell Health, who created the Center for Workforce Readiness within Human Resources, which includes student programs, inclusion programs for veterans and people with disabilities, and nursing Externships/ Fellowships. She also is the co-steward of the LI STEM Hub. Cheryl will talk about healthcare opportunities and the hiring opportunities available for health professionals on LI.

Through her experiences and passion, she created “The Power of Networking” - a one stop shop resource in which she provides job coaching, resume writing, interview preparation, workshops and a gambit of strategies on how to attain a dream job and market yourself in the workplace. Melecia enjoys helping people fulfil career goals and fine tune professional development.

Rita Monte and NCC Student Zac Turkel talk with Gina Lo Bello, Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Northwell Health. Gina talks about the Make- A-Wish Metro and Western New York Advisory Board. The foundation touches the life of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition every 10 hours. The philosophy of Make A Wish Metro is a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides them in everything they do. It inspires to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve.

Bill Horan and NCC Student Zac Turkel talk with Craig Biscone, an attorney in Garden City who practices Real Estate and Zoning Matters for the past 32 years. Craig has served as Counsel to State Of New York Mortgage Agency, to Town of North Hempstead Community Development Agency, & Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation. Craig is involved in the Village of Garden City, where he served as an Officer and Director of the Central Property Owners Association and is a member of the Garden City Planning Commission. Today's focus on My Hometown is Zoning Laws.

Bill Horan and NCC Student Zac Turkel talk with Dana Lopez, Director of Marketing & Communications at The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network). The INN is a local non-profit organization that serves hungry and homeless Long Islanders through soup kitchens, homeless shelters and a variety of supportive services. This year marks the 35th anniversary of this organization.
