In Meet Me Next Christmas, Layla meets a handsome stranger while trying to get home for the holidays. They hit it off, but Layla already has a boyfriend. The stranger understands but makes her promise that if she's single the following year that she will meet him at the Pentatonix concert in NYC. As luck would have it, Layla IS single by the time Christmas rolls around again. Unfortunately, she didn't buy a concert ticket and the show is sold out. What's a girl to do?

We are watching The Prince & Me, a 2004 rom-com starring Julia Styles and Luke Mably. After watching a commercial for a Girls-Gone-Wild!-esque video, Prince Eddie of Denmark decides to head to Wisconsin to meet some topless college students. Unfortunately, the experience isn't what he expected. At least Paige is there to help him (begrudgingly) survive the semester.

Happy Halloween Eve, everybody! We watched the least spooky Halloween rom com imaginable this year. A Kind of Magic (aka You Cast a Spell on Me) is a 2015 romantic comedy starring Nikki Deloach and Ryan McPartlin. 

Matt is a witch. He is also part-owner of a successful juice business. He has money, looks, a yellow convertible and one really strong charm person spell that he uses in every non-witch interaction. The only thing Matt doesn't have is a wife, and that's a problem because if he isn't married to another witch by the time he turns 36 (which is apparently a few months away), he'll lose his powers. He has an arranged marriage to his childhood friend and business partner. He's okay with that plan until he meets a Halloween-loving lady at a party. Does he know her name? No. Does he know what she does for a living? No. Did they drink three bottles of wine together and kiss? Yes. Yes, they did.

Now his powers are going haywire and he has no idea how to find the woman who stole both his magic and his heart.

The leaves are changing colors. Flannel Fridays are back in the workplace. The PSLs are brewing at Starbucks...  What can we say? We love fall! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the season this week than by watching the action rom-com: The Fall Guy! Because it's "fall". And he's the "fall" guy. Ha. 

Terrible jokes aside, The Fall Guy is a 2024 romantic comedy, action, drama flick starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Stuntman Colt is badly injured in what should have been a routine movie stunt. He doesn't want to burden his new girlfriend or his friends, so he goes dark for 18 months and becomes a parking valet. Out of the blue, his former producer Gail calls and tells him that he NEEDS to come work on a movie in Australia. The director, ex-girlfriend Jody, has asked for him specifically. What's a former stuntman to do?

What's one phrase that could sum up the 2024 film Space Cadet, starring Emma Roberts and Tom Hopper? We thought "manatee gate with a bedazzler" said it all. That's right. Buckle up, folks. Buckle up. 

Florida Girl Rex put her dreams of working for NASA on hold when her mom got sick. Years later, after attending her class reunion, she realizes she's tired of pretending to be a ghost (not a metaphor) and tending bar. She wants to be an astronaut. She's got the smarts and the engineering talent, but none of the experience or education. Thankfully, her good friend Nadine is more than happy to edit her resume for her.

Regency fans, this one is for you! We're watching Mr. Malcolm's List this week! Wealthy and mysterious bachelor, the Hon. Jeremy Malcolm, is in want of a wife. And not just any wife, the perfect wife, who must meet his unrealistic standards. The latest casualty in his search is poor Julia Thistlewaite, who becomes a laughingstock after Malcolm dumps her. She enlists the reluctant help of her cousin, Cassidy, and her  childhood friend, Selina, to make Malcolm as miserable as he made her. Unfortunately for Julia, Selina doesn't think Malcolm is much of a villain and wouldn't necessarily mind becoming Mrs. Malcolm.
