I first met Reina Sakao on Google+, she’s active in the the Japanese Tea Community.

She posts beautiful pictures of teaware there, so I encourage you to join.

I asked Kohei Yamamoto for an interview because I like his tea blog, and he offers very good teaware in his online shop.

He also knows a lot about the Japanese tea ceremony too. Since that’s a topic that I’m not very familiar with, it’s a good addition to the podcast.

This time I’m interviewing Ian Chun from Yunomi.us. Since Yunomi.us specializes in Japanese tea, it’s a great match for the blog.

Ian was in Japan while I interviewed him, sometimes there’s a slight sound distortion but other than that the podcast went well.

He’s a very nice person and has a lot of knowledge regarding Japanese teas. I learned a lot on this podcast.

During the interview some Japanese terms came up and they were briefly explained, I’ll go more into detail on each topic in future blog posts.

This is my first podcast! Although I’m not that good at speaking English, I think I’m getting the hang of it.

I’ve decided to interview tea companies in the podcasts (among other things) because it’s always good to know what are the choices available for a tea enthusiast like you. What better way than to talk directly with the company?

Cherene, from The Persimmon Tree,  has a great voice and she makes the conversation flow smoothly, while I mostly stutter
