When Al Jones realized how bad his credit had truly become, he could do two things. He could simply decide that this was the way life had to be, or he could begin educating himself about credit repair. Jones chose the second option and improved his credit profile. Jones' life was like a repeating nightmare.

Jones continued to work his full-time weekday job and drive the cab at night on weekends to attempt to lower his personal debt. He was determined not to file bankruptcy regardless of how frugal his life had to be.  He wanted to exemplify to others the consequences of personal finance mismanagement and the moral choices he made for redemption.

Jones' ordering and receiving a new credit report with a higher score became somewhat of a symbolic event.  His thoughts began to drift towards how to make a difference in other people’s lives with his own personal journey from credit disaster to credit repair.
