When my daughter was young, she was assigned a paper to write about me.  She brought it home and I could tell by the look on her face that she was so proud!  It said nice things . . and one sentence said, "My Mother is homely."  I cleared my throat and asked, "you think I'm homely"?  Nodding her head 'yes', she went on to say, "you like to stay home a lot".  

THAT'S HOMEY, NOT HOMELY!!!  That word is actually used to describe a room or where a person lives that is comfy and cozy.  Heavy sigh.

Have you seen or read about Covid long-haulers?  They are the ones who contracted Covid and have been decimated with long term various symptoms.  Have you seen the pictures on TV of great crowds of people on the beach / parties / sports events?

No matter what you are going through, the Bible teaches us:

The most dominant thought wins.  

Two Movies remind me of the words 'With Me!  With Me!'  Have you ever gone through a difficult time and longed for someone to be 'with you'?  My sister came to help.  When she left, I was more ready to face the world again.  As Christians, we have the precious Holy Spirit within us.  Have you considered the fact we cannot grieve someone who does not love us?

Some faces say 'welcome' and others say 'GRRRRR - BEWARE OF THE DOG!' Ever noticed?  Faces are important.  We learn even as children . . don't ask Mom right now . . she is NOT in a good mood . . or . . yes, now would be a good time to ask Dad . . Madison Avenue uses baby faces, children faces and puppy faces!

If I could go back, I would still play God is Good, All the Time.  I would add sometimes people get life and God mixed up.  Life is not only not easy, it can be pretty miserable.  Life can be rude and evil and ugly.  But God is not.  He cannot because He is good.

The scene on TV showed an elderly woman sitting outside a tent in the woods.  Kindness and tenderness could be seen on her face and body language as she pulled one of the goats closer.  She called the animal by name, stroking the soft head, then gently slit its throat.  She held the animal lovingly and then the camera pulled away.  Meat was needed for her sustenance.  

Do you have peace of mind?  If not, how are you going to get it?  Do you have a plan to keep it?

It has been said God has a natural law that who or what is the center of our attention is what we become.

How an experience at the Florida Strawberry Festival can teach us how to handle temptation.  I wrote new lyrics for the song Katniss sang in The Hunger Games . .  but I cannot sing.  Could someone sing those lyrics and send them to me?  I would then add it to the podcast or make a new podcast and could also put it on my blog & FB.  That would be great!
