I know I start every week off by saying this is a special episode, but this is. Why? Because the parents of one Ms. Cookie Kaplan are in the building. Dr. Kaplan joins us on the podcast where we acted out the first act of the play he wrote in Coco’s honor. 

Sidenote, Dr. Kaplan pulled me aside and said I did an excellent job. That’s all I needed in life.

Corinne ‘s mom (Dale) is also just off camera (and mic) for the entire podcast. She is quiet, lovely and just as beautiful as Coco describes inside and out.

*Just a quick heads up before we start this week; the names of two famous black actors from the past: Gregory Hines and Nell Carter are brought up… and neither one are by the black cohost.

Only a phrase that random could sum up the date that Corinne went on that started quickly and ended… well- you’ll see.

Corinne also talks about how casting a tv show makes all the difference; especially when writing a show about one’s life.

We also get into Facebook:Wish-lists. Wish-lists are normally hastily scribbled by four year olds on Christmas Eve.  In this case however the wishing is by adults…in the middle of the day… that are unemployed. All of them…

Oh, the "Ties" that bind us, and in some cases- cases such as outlandish disparity in Scrabble proclivity- unbind us.

In this episode, we unpack: what should one do if they realize their partner is a dumb dumb!? We also get back to the bread and butter of what makes us us, lots of hilarious and terrifying dating profiles.

If you ask parents with multiple children, some will tell you (after they’ve had seven or eight whiskey doubles) that they never thought that one of those children would graduate high school. 

That kid was partying and drinking before they could spell “partying” or “drinking”.

Most of said parent’s time was spent ensuring a bevy of legal violations would be expunged from their adult record, but they are they are- against-all-odds- walking across the stage.

Tears rolled down this proud-parents cheeks while a flashing ankle monitor, monitored this child’s whereabouts but that’s water under the bridge because THAT’S a high school graduate my friends. 

That kid beat the odds. 

…And that describes this podcast. We tried to work in some new technology and it kicked us directly in our auditory nether regions. 

The audio is not great, but if you listen, it’s hilarious… and if you listen really hard, you’ll hear two friends that absolutely love talking to each other. It’s worth the effort, trust me.
