This week I celebrate one of those milestone birthdays - apparently now I am a senior citizen 😊
But it is a milestone birthday in more ways than one.
Because I am also celebrating 10 years since I made a decision that totally changed my life!
2011 was a tough year for me. I was hospitalized twice, underwent a major surgical procedure, diagnosed with adrenalin fatigue, I was exhausted all the time, and no matter how ‘healthy’ I ate or how much I exercised, I could not shift the extra 10 kilos that had crept on during menopause.
One night in a moment of rare clarity, I realised that everything I was doing in my mid-50’s – was the same as I had done in my 30’s & 40’s - and clearly that was not working any longer!
So I made the decision to rethink everything I knew about health and wellness, and adapt what I was doing to embrace my changing body… instead of fighting against it.
On this week’s Stronger Leaner Lighter Show, I shared my top 9 strategies to ageing well, that I implement every day - and that have given me more energy, clarity and confidence now, at 65, than I had at 55!
