While this year's event faced criticism from members of the Providence community, there were also some interesting positive developments.  With significant rain cancelling a good chunk of the festival it is difficult to truly measure how the "new" iteration of the event would actually be received, but Bill Bartholomew notes that a compromise of sorts ought to be considered for next year's edition.
