The holidays are hard. The cooking, the cleaning, the gifting, the general merriment. But unsurprisingly, Renee and Hannah fall along very different lines when it comes to the enjoyment of gift giving. Happy holidays, friends!
Thanksgiving is a beautiful time of family, fun, and frustration. We celebrate some of the best times and some of the worst times. Including but not limited to: tipsy Renee shouting politics at her parents and pregnant Hannah crying about literal trash. Oh yeah, it's good times.
Hannah and Renee talk about the upcoming holiday season and how to balance their own expectations of what makes the perfect family or friend get-together. Of course we mention The Lazy Genius' approach because she's brilliant, but we also talk about how we plan to change things from last year.
Traveling with family is hard. Parents, spouses, kids, babies--It seems like everyone has different expectations of how it should go. What happens when you're not on the same page as your spouse? What about explicitly stated expectations? Why are relationships so hard?
Kids come with an extraordinary amount of shit. So much STUFF. Toys and clothes and bedding and more toys, and dishes, and cups. And with the holidays closing in, Hannah and Renee talk about the joys--and the difficulties of getting rid of things. Especially when your kids are attached to every Happy Meal toy they've ever received.
